  • In this critical video, Mpho Dagada discusses South Africa's alarming debt crisis, now at R4.8 trillion. He analyses the government's fiscal strategies and the misuse of funds in failing entities like Eskom. With the debt-to-GDP ratio projected to hit a record 77% by 2027, Dagada urges all South Africans to understand the gravity of the situation. He highlights the lack of significant economic growth despite the growing GDP and questions the government's investment in essential infrastructure.

Mpho has the courage, vision; a better plan (beyond "revolutionary theories") to move this country forward. I think he deserves a chance.

    Thank You Father God❤

  • @sihlejpromajola1718

Thank you for another informative analysis. The biggest problem is that our debt is a results of Looting via Bailout of SOEs. While our GDP is not growing that well.

  • @sylviamzinyathi2254

Government is worse than us as employees

  • @Loinheartleo

@kevinnaidoo.... you are wrong here. Why paint a picture of growth and prosperity when you and the like dont or can't grasp the level of crisis our country is in? Mpho has plans to tackle the problems. Most people are not taking the crisis seriously, they are complacent and will not go out to vote for change.

  • @deannewarman6625

    ANC 🤬🤬

  • @dumirose9174

Where did this government take this to?

  • @bokang8540

Yes debt without economic growth is problematic but I don't think SA has a debt crisis. Most of our debt is from local borrowing which gives us an option of printing money if we struggle to repay the debt and most developed countries like Japan have a higher debt-to-GDP ratio than the 77% debt-to-GDP ratio we will hit in 2027. Japan's current debt-to-GDP ratio is 226% and their economy is still great besides the energy problems they have that were caused by the Russia-Ukraine war. But yes of course, we need to vote for new leaders before it is too late.

I would much more prefer much more global approach to matters as in why for example the G7 countries are at 100+ Debt to GDP ratio if not close to that and what is it if any that they did well with the debt that we not doing, they also have a lot of failing institutions and systems. What is it that you’ve noticed that they’re doing wrong as does our government though with the difference being the corrupt end of our government. Actually I’m asking what is your much more pragmatic approach in resolving this issue without telling us problems, like I’ve always battled with how politicians or political candidates do not speak about new ways or resolving matters that have a proven track record as might have been so in the business space and the like. Like how then do we trust that you won’t do what the ANC did because corruption is just park of the pie on our country being where is it. Like I question when a politician or party says we have built schools without the background as to whether the project was done on time and on budget or much better even way before due date and at almost 20% less budget to show effectiveness in implementation. And for our SOEs, how do we then take them to break even point if not profitable? Obviously not only getting rid of corruption and having competent qualified leaders will do the job.

I think you going down the wrong path here. Sorry to say, I watched a couple of your interviews and I really liked them because you focused on solutions e.g. 4IR. People don't want to hear bad news, we already have DA and news that reminds us of this every so often. Perhaps more positive messaging on how you will fix the Job crises or grow the GDP. I know these videos contain solutions in part , but start with that - the positive messaging. Rather than bashing the ANC.
