- I was recently challenged to record a rare 1976 LP to CD. This record had never been released digitally. I took the opportunity to show you three methods and the steps that I followed to get the BEST possible quality results.
Sit back and enjoy as I try to make a technical conversation into an easy to understand demonstration.
Thank you for supporting the channel - I like your style!
Please note: will not be sharing the recorded materials with anyone and they are not available for download (please don't ask). This music was used for demonstration purposes only. All rights are property of the respective owners.
Clip #1 was the best. Clean, low distortion and good channel separation.
Spot on! I am glad you noticed the stereo separation on that - that Project ( which I thought would have lead this) sounded nearly MONO! The cheap model just sounded… well.. cheap! Hit notifications I to get a note when the remastering video comes out- I have a couple of fun AI surprises coming 🤟🏻📀🎧😉😎
2 for me.
Has the remastering episode been released yet?
@@georgeprice4212not yet it’s about 3/4 done - be sure to subscribe if you already haven’t to catch it - I expect to release it in less then 3 weeks- you won’t be disappointed it’s coming out really good!!
Awesome detail!
I like cut 1 the best what did you think?
@@graybeardsnation Yes, cut 1
Very helpful video. Everything is explained very well. Clip # 3 seems to have more of those bass tones present. I am suprised how well the cheaper LP to MP3 worked. I am going with 3 though.
Thanks your input - happy recording and stay tuned for the next video where I will master the music I ripped from this LP!
Recording 1 sounded the best, but 2 was close. Transition volumes are a bit high though
I did normalize each sample to 0db - UA-cam kind of dicks with the sound - thank you for the feedback!!! Keep an eye out for the mastering video - I have already started putting it together- good times!!😊

I agree - I thought that Pro-Ject would perform better but the stereo separation is terrible- thx for your input- I will be mastering this album in a few weeks - should be very interesting- stay tuned!!
