You may notice that I'm in a new room, and that's because I've moved into my own house! Feels amazing to have a room that is solely dedicated to my music, and I've also got the ability to actually hang stuff on my walls, so this room will be better acoustically. Still working on a few things (most notably my cable management haha), but if you have any tips or anything you reckon I should add to the room, flick it down in the comments below!
The guitar I'm using is a Solar Guitars A1.8C, tuned a half step down to F Standard. This is running directly into a Focusrite Clarett 8pre USB, then into Ableton Suite Edition.
As always, if you have any questions regarding anything mixing/production/instrument related, feel free to drop them as a comment below, and I'll try to reply to everyone! :)

WOW that was great ! Tone is really awesome ! What are you using for drums ? You got the very natural and acoustic feel I've been trying to get for years

Cheers man! My drum tone is primarily GGD The Invasion, but with a snare drum from the GGD P:IV kit. I've got each piece of kit on a different audio track, being individually affected by Softube Console 1 channel strips. For this one I also layered in Butch Vig Drums by Native Instruments on certain hits that I wanted to accent, which I really enjoyed and will probably do again ✌

Damn this one hits hard as usual.
How is your bass tuned? In unison with the guitars?

Cheers! For this one I actually used Submission Audio Umansky Bass running through Neural DSP Parallax. I then layered it up with Knif Audio Knifonium from Plugin Alliance. Umansky Bass was an octave below the guitars (which are in F Standard), where as the Knifonium was unison ✌

Hi man, wanted to ask what tips do you have for mixing/eqing 8 string guitars? I'm trying to do a Meshuggah cover (Rational Gaze Re-mastered) but I can't for the love of god even get close to that tone. It's so mid-focused/treble but so thick at the same time. I know bass plays a big part in that but my tone just sounds like shit. So any tips on how to EQ the amp (I'm using Neural DSP) and post-productions, etc... Like. do you run an eq pedal BEFORE the amp to get rid of the low end? Stuff like thats please and thanks! :)

Hey, for the most part it depends on what guitar I use. For example, I generally EQ this Solar Guitar when using the bridge humbucker, as the pickup is too dark for my liking. However in this video I didn't need to do this at all (just depends on the amp sim). The main thing for me would be down to post production and really knowing where to EQ to fix certain problem elements, but also getting your tone as close to what you like (using good IRs) before making any EQ changes. The less you have to alter the tone in post, the better in my opinion. There are two EQ plugins I use a lot, and they are iZotope Neutron 3's EQ and Sonible's SmartEQ3. Neutron just has really versatile EQ options (sidechaining individual bands, dynamic EQ, masking EQ) and Sonible SmartEQ3 has sort of an artificial intelligence band that will automatically cut out or boost specific frequencies based on what it interprets from the input signal. Best thing about that AI band is that you can still use it like a regular EQ band, so if you only want it to "smart" EQ the mid range (which I sometimes do), you can. Also a good tool for learning where problem frequencies commonly are. Hope that helps a bit ✌
