  • We took a visit and a walk around the Welsh town of Cardigan.
Cardigan is both a town and a community in the county of Ceredigion, Wales. The town lies on the tidal reach of the River Teifi at the point where Ceredigion meets Pembrokeshire. Cardigan was the county town of the historic county of Cardiganshire. Cardigan is the second-largest town in Ceredigion.

Also born in Cardigan in 1948, lived there until 1975, still have family there. Get back every so often, lots of changes, especially Patch which has been ruined!

Greta video. Thank you for sharing.
I live in Australia now, but I was born in Cardigan in 1950 just a bit further up and to the right of where you turned back at the top end. I've been back seven times since my father died there in 2004. He and my mother are all buried in the cemetery (near where you started recording) along with my younger brother and many generations of my mother's family.
Our family left and moved to Cornwall in 1956 and the first F.W. Woolworth had jsu opened where 'the original factory shop' is now in the town centre. I think it closed in 2009.
I noticed the 'Saddlers Arms' pub where my mother worked before she joined the Royal Air Force when the war started.
I wish I had recorded more 'complete tour' type videos during our more recent visits. May get back there again one day.

It looks like a nice little town. I like the mix of buildings, and the canal nearby. I like the pub that lets dogs bring their owners hahah

Hiya, its actually a river. Cardigan has two rovers flowing through it, the River Teifi (the main one) and the River Mwldan (the small one) xx
