- In what may be my favorite video so far. You never know what you'll see in crystal clear water that is three feet below normal levels. I see, catch, totally rebuild, test and catch big bass on a budget bait casting combo reclaimed from the sunken depths. Get comfortable and come along for a very fun project!

Awesome job. I found a 600 zebco about 50 years ago and rebuilt it and it still works. I gave it to my daughter last year. I would love to have that real as I really want to learn to use an open reel.
Now that is what I like to hear! A reel most people would probably overlook, brought back to life and sent out to continue making memories! Warms my heart.

Walmart had this exact combo on clearance for $41 online. I bought one. Should have bought more. They aren’t “top tier” by any means but they are much better than many other options.
They are definitely not bad. It's pretty good for the money.

I caught a ugly stick rod and reel baitcaster it was in the lake for so long the bugs ate the cork and the reel was bad rust so
