Why are these getting scrapped? Most of them look like they were in great shape before being parted out. Under 15 years old, no rust, little body damage...
They call that 「recycling」... with all components inside and I am sure they are sent in Cambodia、India、Malaysia and Singapore (mondial dumps) if you google or youtube the subject "(¬ . ¬)"
Hydraulics are amazing. So powerful, but so precise and can actually bed gentle. Somewhere I saw a video of a huge excavator tamping down dirt on a wheelbarrow with no damage.
I think it would be pretty cool if they put a wireless camera inside one of those cars, just to see the walls closing in. It would be a one way ride for the camera. I'd like to see the next step in the process. I picture a very large glowing red vat that these are dropped into.
La risposta è molto semplice. Il recupero viene effettuato in un secondo trattamento dove grossi impianti selezionano i materiali trasformandoli da rifiuto a materia prima seconda.

Capitalism / consumerism and the perpetual upgrade cycle. A lot of the cars that get scrapped are far from worn out, just deemed to be obsolete because the industry wants us all to buy new and we all fall for it.
@@williammorningstar7688 I disagree. Some will be there because they all have transistors in them and they can fail at any time, but are in expensive computers. Lexus is a classic one for scrapping before it’s worn out.
@@williammorningstar7688 Well, I've got a 1999 Ford Fiesta that I've owned for more than 18 years, and it still runs fine. Hardly an expensive car even when new, but I could get in it tonight and drive 500 miles no problem, so it certainly does the job and it's 20 years old.
The square blocks will be shipped to the sreader. Where the "fluff will be sorted and the different metals plastics, glass be recycled in to new raw stock.
pretty creative way to get rid of a body......... It just gets thrown in the smelter afterwords anyways right..... or some sort of shredder for fine metals.
If this is the UK, nah. To many here, once a car even has a small defect that won't let it pass MOT, it's sent to the breakers. We here would rather create more waste then fix a bad headlamp, and then go buy a new car.
Next the manufacturers will install a small commuter in the car which will make the car automatically drive itself to the nearest scrap yard after a fixed number of miles to be scrapped.
One day I was told the cars are first crushed into a cube so they take less space and then they are loaded into a truck that transports them to the shredder that's located somewhere else
This video is so cool to watch, and that sound of the turbodiesel engine that powers the crusher is really awesome.
Thank you very much Bjorn

Compaction ratio is crazy. One of the better ratios that I've ever seen.
I am surprised that they are not stripping more parts of the cars before getting crushed. Great video.
Thank you veru much.

Ridiculous, really. Some of these look better than cars I regularly see on the road where I live...
The average life expectancy of a car where I'm from is only 7 years, manufacturers don't seem to bother building anything to last anymore
Most failed MOT. Some people here in the UK find it cheaper to just buy a new car than spend thousands of pounds on fixing a Vectra from 2007.
Simply the value of the car is lower than the price to fix it, most likely severe frame, engine or transmission damage

How is that possible?
The magic box: the crane puts in a car & it pulls out a metallic rectangular shape, that is good magic. What’s the trick?
The magic is that this old scrap will be recycled and come back to life in a new form
PRESSE BULL) Wow: we have a magical machine to: we put concrete pieces on one end and on the other end gravel comes out.
1:42 that's some skills there 💪 nice trick
Hmm that piece of plastic doesnt belong there...
How do u make it a cube tho thst cube is smaller then the seats I dunno how that’s possible
Majority of the cars interior is hollow anyway, so really it's like crushing a sheet of paper into a little ball.
Hey, it's Mr Burns Cube!
Good video and this job of quality. Tank you very much for the quality professional
what would we do without hydraulics,
and all of it's applications, crushing to fine control of aircraft
Kinda reminds me of the movie Goldfinger ( only they used a magnet to remove the crushed item ).
Weird how cars are scrap but not rusted out these days. 70’s cars were dangerous long before the engines gave out :o)
Yep, the paint is not even scratched before they end up in the crusher.

Some new cars last a long time, but most of the cars I see in this video are cheap, and badly made, "quantity over quality" cars.

You can hear the cars scream as they get crushed.
rest in piece red fiat punto
What do they do with them afterwards ?
What happens to these metal cubes, are they recycled or just left as waste
It's worth a lot of money of course it's recycled
What happens to them after this? Just melted or shredded?
I once was told they get shredded, so the different materials can be separated
is this better than shedding? To this seems cleaner and quicker
