Bottom line: She got the attention she wanted.
True
But she winded up being terminated from her job!So in all actuality it wasn't worth it in the end because it cost her job.So the attention part technically didn't do her any good in the first place.

Yes they do, unfortunately. They influence impressionable kids and young people.

Amala is literally a UA-cam influencer? For someone who seems to be supporting her you are being counterintuitive.
they influence stupidity
The "influence " stems in the way she straight up illicits all of these follow up videos and views. She gained instant fame (or infamy, depending on your POV) for just pulling on a few puppet strings and steering into the skid. She knew EXACTLY what she was doing and how it would trend. Her actions would become a viral talking point, and boom instant views and attention. Now, this chick is surfing that backlash like a wave in the ocean with zero cares about how anybody feels about it. Personally, I think it's deplorable, but what's the saying, "All press is good press?"

The more you make a word forbidden, the more you empower it to be used to offend in its usage on purpose. Hate the sentiment behind the word, not the word itself otherwise you give words more power than they deserve.
This.

so well said
The inverse of this is making it so common it loses its shock value. Like using cuss words in everyday situations. When one is angry, shocked or upset, what words would one use to denote one's emotions then? Words should have meaning and are commonly understood and used.
@@LilRebelYell If everyone said the n-word and it became common, then it wouldn't have meaning anymore, and that would be a good thing. People would still say f*** and sh**.

I am old enough to remember when nobody referred to "the N word" by "the N word". And when "the N word" name was introduced, it referred to the word with an -r on the end. Since I don't use that or other such racial epitaphs for people, I'll admit I didn't even know the -a variant was equally offensive. So, when I heard the rage about her using "the N-word", I was surprised is was over the -a form.
I think a common issue with the usage and defense of that word is that there seems to be this belief that it's a word that all black people use and have no issue with. (not saying that's what you're saying)
There are plenty of black people that don't use the word, AND don't like it any form of its usage. It's a bit inescapable these days because it is in so much music and comedy, but when it comes to interpersonal communication, it's not a word I throw around.

Yeah, I agree with Amala on this. It's not great that this rage baiter claimed to be a conservative. Not the best representation. Oh well. She'll fade into obscurity anyway.
7:37 I agree with you about one needs to stop reacting to it.
It already has made her famous and ignited an important debate.
It’s a word… there are wars going on around the world. Wake up
I agree in the sense that no one should say the n-word because it has genuine history behind it, very raciest history, I don’t think it’s ‘just a word’ and I don’t think anyone should say it and certainly don’t profit off it
I couldn’t agree with you more.
I agree but i still use it around black folks because unfortunately its a cultural thing. I don't say it around others who wouldn't want to hear say it because I don't want any unfair treatment or rules me and not u type of situation occurring
The ironic part is, that by making a word taboo, people give power to that word over them. To get rid of people using it, you essentially have to get everyone to overuse it, and then change it's meaning to mean a host of things, so it's actual meaning becomes lost. We've even done it to plenty of words in recent years. Words such as racist or sexist have quickly lost their power for these very reasons.
You are insanely brilliant, insightful, and composed - thank you for the "keeping it real" content that your provide!!!
She should capitalize on it while she can.
I don’t think I would specifically promote that…
I would. She might start a trend where more white people refuse to repeat history and play the part of the abused. 50 years from now enacting the revenge that was enacted now. It's most definitely is revenge.
She should ! All the people posting the N**ER hard ER version on X are popping out of the wood works. We need to know who the true racist are lol. She’s genius and also helping the democrats 😅
@@KO_116 But most conservatives would. Let’s quick acting like people click on the hodge twins for insight. They want to see blacks knocked down a peg. Conservatives are the “they” btw. The libs replied as expected, with getting her fired and shamed. The right did theirs as well. Provide support and ambiguity for racism or anything that makes black people uncomfortable. She’s always have an audience for that. She can say things like “seems to have upset members of a certain community and evolve it to Scott Adam’s without a blink. Because it feels like most of them in their heart agree with Scott, but because of consequences don’t outright say “let’s all get the hell away from black people since we can’t kick em out”. PBD did a video with a white supremacist and the comment were like a kkk rally. It’s really vexing as a black American trying to stand by values that are more conservative, but my solution is to simply not to make friends. The left already said screw me because I wanted to be more than my race. Now it feels like on the right, I’ve never seen a full throated condemnation of these ideas, but rather a safe haven to them.
So what about people who take back symbols? The confederate flag is no longer used for slavery but for family heritage and southern pride. It’s not to bring back slavery.
Oh shut up LMFAO
family hertiage as a in a hertiage of what and idk man the people in the klan sure like that flag.
It doesn’t matter. If nigga can be “reclaimed” then so can other symbols and words.
was the confederate flag used for slavery?
If black people want others to believe that word is offensive, they have to stop using it for themselves and their acquaintances, family and friends. The word was popularized by black men, mostly rappers.
Congratulations on your new contemporary she seems like she will fit in well in this community
So the company publicly stated that they fired her because they are black owned? That sure gives her a good argument to sue for race decrimination.
No they fired her because of her TikTok video . While it’s a fact it’s black owned that’s was not the basis of firing
@@Zyx5620 that may be true, but by pointing it out, they gave her the argument an I would not be surprised if she won. You never bring up race or gender when talking about getting rid of someone that works for you. The second you do, just go ahead an break out the checkbook.
@@RebelCowboysRVsas a business owner with employees, you have no clue what you are talking about.
@@HappinessDIY You saying its normal to bring up your race when you fire people? Here is how this plays out if she chose to push it... She gets a lawyer, probably one working for a percentage. Her lawyer digs around on the Internet a while an finds a video of a black employee using that word that still works there. That should take about 5 minutes if the company has any size to it. They show that letter making a point of their black ownership, videos of other people using that word, and the video she posted to a jury. They then ask them if they would have fired her if she was a black girl or is it just the white girl that gets fired for that. If she loses, she's out nothing. But she's all over the news for a week or two. She's clearly after fame. The company is out thousands defending themselves. But if she wins? Starbucks payed out 25 million last year to a white girl they fired. Win win for her. Lose lose for them. It was a bad spot to be in before the letter. Worse after. A lot of people in the comments seem to think what she said was harmless. How many of them ya reckon would be on that jury.
@@RebelCowboysRVs Im not reading all that when your entire premise is factually incorrect.
Kia ora (hello in Maori), Amala! big fan of your advocation of free speech and i really appreciate how hard you try to be kind :D i agree with free speech but also this kind of free speech is getting way to common and much more inflammatory and its sad to see from an outside perspective. The USA has some really cool stuff but the politics make it hard place to want to visit :(
Smooth brain need attention. Smooth brain say mean word. Other smooth brains give attention. Smooth brain happy.
The internet sadly enables fools to war with each other in a cesspool of ignorance.
Words are Not Violence!

This girl is going to do alot of damage. She will be the conservative version of the blue-haired leftist.
She doesn’t have enough charisma to keep a big audience. I think she thinks she she has a built in audience now and has it made, but she’s not entertaining in the least.
Of course I’m not her intended demographic so I could be wrong, but when it came down to it she seemed really boring.. she just had the shock value going for her..
@@karahupp4589 well because of the racial tension, alot of conservatives on Twitter are reporting on her as if shes a household name.
just have to ask, do people not know she is doing all of this as a tactic to be famous and maybe rich? because she sure is making money from this just don't know how much.
