As someone who was a long suffering Chicago Cubs fan here in the US and got to experience what happened in 2016 after 118 years of heartbreak, I'm thrilled for City fans and especially Noel. It's such a special moment that you'll never forget.

Some teams have what is to them considered bad spells finishing 10 - 12th in prem. For a yr or 2 and the gates suddenly drop to 32k . From what I've seen it's only lfc and obviously UTD which I get who don't want City to win but I can see them going on and winning a few more UCL now they have first one under there belt.

@Niclyon Generally people give Ederson credit for his distribution. And acknowledge he's a proper modern type of goalkeeper. But some question his shot stopping. Along with belittling his achievements because he doesn't have to deal with the volume of shots. Because of City's quality as a team.

The only ones complaining( being jealous) are lfc and Utd fans so doubt they wanted City to win anything Utd cause they hate them which is normal for local rivals same everywhere, and Liverpool fans cause they can't handle everyone saying there how great a team City are also doing something they've never done the UCL, FA , League title achieving the top 3 prizes available which is the main treble and not a lg cup, FA, Uefa cup treble they won. Also the fact they only ended up with FA cup, League cup last year after trying to win on 4 fronts. Only UTD and Celtic and now City have won the prestigious and elusive treble which despite all Liverpools success in Europe over the years they have never been able to do. Inter pressed really well for the first forty-five... but they were never going to score. In the first half, they were all-out playing for penalties.
Then they made their mistake... bringing on Lukaku. From that moment on, Inter had lost. They went from having a man over, to being one man down.
Brawn over brains... was never the way to go in this match-up. That's why Haaland was ineffective... brawn over brains is OK,
only when you're playing below average teams. Haaland and Lukaku are the equivalent tactic of the long ball.
What Manchester City has achieved is incredible. Won a treble by passing through their biggest rivals in a final. I reckon they win another and put Manchester United into obscurity. They deserve it for failing to compete in 14 years. Pep Guardiola has undoubtedly surpassed Ferguson. He beat him in ucl finals and built a team that will rival his achievements in England. First of all, I will say congrats to City. Despite what we know about them, they still had to deliver on the pitch and I don’t want to be a bitter fan.
However, I am completely emotionless about City, they don’t resonate with me as a football club. They are a team where endless money has been spent for success. Where as Utd for example are a club where money is all important. I have football emotions about Utd, generally negative, but I am interested. I was interested in Ange Postecoglu at spurs being an Aussie, I was pleased for Hammers fans for winning a trophy after 43 years, I was pleased for Wrexham even despite their relative wealth compared to their rivals. City though, every aspect of their success is backed by bottomless amounts of money. Until they answer to the charges laid against them and not stall via their barristers their sporting integrity is zero and their trophy’s will always have an * for me.

They taugh us a lesson in humility cos at that time City deserved to be where we were. CTID started as a bitter irony and ended as a badge of honour and reminder. Yes, if Inter had scored first they would shut the game down and played dirty. That’s why it was on a knife edge. I just thinking how Ancelotti’s Real Madrid froze in the 2014 final. Ronaldo was awful and they were 1 or 2 minutes away from a nightmare defeat to their unfashionable city rivals. Before Ramo’s headed in that equaliser into an unguarded corner of the goal I was picturing the damning media headlines in the mornings papers. Real Madrid were never that inept in finals after that. It was like stage fright or something. Well, Man City played better than that today, but like Ancelotti’s Real Madrid, they will surely be better in subsequent finals going forward.
