Mizuno makes a lot of nice shoes, if it’s a neutral shoe your are looking for then the Rider, Ultima or the Sky are the top models. At our store we sell the Sky and the Rider. The Rider is a bit faster and lighter, while still having a nice cushioned ride.
Good morning, Lars. My weight is 67 Kg, and now I run at 6.00 min/Km. I am a light pronator: do you think this is not a good shoe for me? Could I have any problem? Thank you.
The Sky is stable, but still a neutral shoe. You could be okey, but it’s hard to say without doing a video test of it. Almost everybody pronates a bit, it just depends on how much. It’s a heavier type of shoe with a lot of cushioning, so your weight isn’t that much a factor. You could also consider a lighter shoe like the rider, or the inspire (if you need some support).
They are totally different to each other and hard to compare. The shift is very stiff and the Sky isn’t. For me the shift is way down the line in the saucony spectrum, there are just so many shoes that make more sense IMO. If you compared triumph with Sky then you’ll get a better comparison, as they are meant to be made for the same type of runners.
I bought my mizuno wavesky 3 sneakers 2 days ago and I'm wondering if buying a whole size bigger shoe was a mistake (I am size EU39, bought 40). Now, the problem is that my food is thin/narrow and my feet are so sore from walking in these comfy shoes because my feet feel like straining when walking. I took a short walk, and they are in pristine condition so MAYBE I could exchange them for the smaller ones (in which my big toes show a little bit)...ugh, I am torn and very unhappy with my purchase because I didn't take the time to try om a few different models before buying them :( Any advice on the sizing is welcome.
Well, it depends how much space you have lengthwise. I wouldn't buy a shoe where my toes hit the front. The Sky though is a wider shoe compared to many others (but generally most runners have more space in the forefoot than fashion sneakers). When it comes to running shoes there are two big challenges. One is to get the right fit, the other to get the right design. At our store we say you are lucky if you get both. If you like the mizuno design, I would try getting a narrower model like the Mizuno Rider. I would generally recommend just trying out a bunch of shoes to see what fits you, and I would always try to have around 1 cm of space in the forefoot so you don't hit your toe. Anyways, its always worse to have a shoe that's too small. Have a great day, and I hope you are able to fix the issue.
Hey! I haven’t tried, or actually seen it. I’ve had the hayate on and the mujin is as I understand just a more cushioned version of that. I would love to try it, but this summer I decided to try the Altra Timp 2 when I visited the Norwegian mountains. How do you like it?
I do not have access to Asics anymore, as our customers have stopped buying them. Generally, I think that almost every brand makes great shoes and it is most important to try different types to determine what fits you. If you talk technology as the only variable, then Asics is way last. Their tech is from 2005. Granted I haven't tried the new lineup of shoes that they have made this year. But then again, they are still using Gel, a very heavy and dead material. Saucony Triumph and New Balance 1080 are doing great at the moment, those shoes just feel a little bit more special than the Mizuno Sky, which feels soft.
Yes, it’s the same as the Sky Waveknit 3 apart from the upper. The knit upper gives a softer but less stable ride. A lot of our customers love the the upper if they have wide feet or bunions.
thanks for the great review! it's currently on sale in canada now i was searching for reviews on this particular pair. would you say this is less cushioned than wave rider? debating if i should get rider 23 or shadow 3
Hans thelettercarrier the sky is more cushioned then the rider. The rider has a softer heel, but overall there is far more cushioning in the sky. Thanks for the comment.
Lars you are the king of comfy shoe reviews! GOOOOD MORNINGGGGGG!!!
Thank you, Colin! I focus on shoes that most people have more use for. I believe these are the high mileage shoes that get people out into nature.
Very solid review. Thanks!
Thank you!
Thinking about these again! Really love my triumph 17, and these look more breathable with summer approaching!
Should be, but they are not the most breathable shoes out there. But man are they comfortable 😀
I love this shoe, it is for me personaly the best running shoe i ever had, used to run on Asics but i like these way better :) .
Great review. Between the shoe and Reebok energy 2.0, which one do you think is better?
I haven’t seen any Reebok running shoes over here in Denmark so I can’t compare them. Thanks for the comment!
Well the Sky is a maximum cushion shoe and the Reebok looks like a light trainer for intervals. But as I said previously, I haven’t tried it.
@@LarsIvarHenriksen thank you. No problem. You review made me want to try out the mizuno. I never had a mizuno before.

What is your opinion on the Saucony Endorphin SHIFT? Is it better than this Mizuno?

And btw. I haven’t tried the shift, only a short run on the treadmill during a session with saucony.

what do you think about mizuno wave mujin 6? i just got a pair

@@LarsIvarHenriksen yes, they are max cushioned version wich is good for me because i have 95kg. they are very good for gravel and trail
Can we compare mizuno with asics ?
And what is best running shoes in general in your opinion best technology.
Thanks
