- Welcome back all,
In this video I install some boot carpet sides & restoration the back of the passengers bench seat. I also fitted some good condition kick panels as my original ones were in a poor state. This is a bit more of a relaxed video in the winter sun, just ticking off a few interior jobs!

We used to rub the back down on the badges, it would remove the blue, but the chrome ford lettering remained as its recessed, then rattle can them to match bodywork... I've still got some somewhere.
I used to do same,my old fella handed me one he found in his house about 3 weeks ago,a bright green one same as i had put on a mk4 escort eclipses cringe lol,
That actually sounds like a good idea! Luckily the maritime blue is very close to the old ford badge blue 👌🏻

@@GPH2474 yup i had blue one,also had green along bumper strips and side mouldings,shamefull lol.,the thing also had been front ended when it was younger,then just before i got it was hit up the back,.ran it for a year then sold it on,oh the days.dam thing used more oil than petrol haha

I did this very same mod to my Mk1 Fiesta one or two years (decades 😖) ago. Back when you could go to a scrapyard and spend the day stripping an XR2 of all its parts for 100 quid!
Maybe a boot tray next mate ?

Great work ma man...comeing along nicely.i did the same in my mk1 with they side carpets in the boot also got off Shane baker lol was a couple year back,i do love the rattle of a Valencia something nostalgic about it.. keep the videos comeing there very well done.i do like your style of video

Hi Mitch, the boot looks a hundred times nicer, those carpet side pieces really set the boot off now, and those repro Ford blue ovals look 👀 great, and for the price, you couldn’t beat it with a big stick lol . The kicker plates made a huge difference, looks really “pucker” lol 😂 great video man. 😎👍👍👍🇬🇧

I had a White XR3i back around 1996 / 97 and took off the front and rear blue ford badges and swapped them for limited edition Red ones I got from ford
I've never seen them anywhere since but they were 100% original from a ford main dealer, I just thot at the time they looked a bit different being Red.
they werent proper ford ones i had them and green ones aswell, they were copies from china or thailand back then

Such a stunning looking car! I'll bet it's worth a lot of money now that you've worked your magic on it. I did notice yellow back plates in the boot, are they the original that were on the car from new? Personally I prefer the yellow (if original with the Ford dealer name on it) than the silver/black, but thats just just personal preference. Well done mate on this!
