This Stop Motion with modern science would be sick
Retro prehistoric creatures and stop motion, always a winning combination.
I wonder how it would look like if somebody made a movie with modern looking stop motion dinosaurs
I WANT TO Clash of the Titans (1981) All Stop Motion Shots
Der Film wird 2025 70 Jahre alt und ist nach wie vor großes Kino. Unsterblicher Klassiker von Effektmeister Karel Zeman.
One the best SCI FI movies from czech and czechoslovakian movie histroy
As chezchian, i'm proud of showing this movie in foreign community!
Czechoslovak film. My favorite movie when I was a kid. I saw it for the first time in the late 80s. 7:00 my favorite scene of the whole movie
. Greetings from Slovakia
.
I never saw this before. Fantastic!
The fact that Karel Zeman is so little known in America is a terrible shame. The man deserves recognition and great respect for the amazing images he brought to the screen. I don’t know if his films are easier to find today - are they? - but they were virtually unknown in the U.S. for years, seen only by a small number of determined cinephiles. I first became are of him through my friend Bill Warren, who wrote Keep Watching the Skies!, the definitive book on science fiction films of the 1950s (1986, McFarland). In volume 2 of Bill’s colossal book his chapter on The Fabulous World of Jules Verne begins with “This is the best film covered in this book.” If you’d like, I’ll happily get a copy of that chapter to you. On another note, your videos of Harryhausen’s animation scenes are appreciated more than I can say, and I’ll comment soon on The 7th Voyage of Sinbad, my favorite Harryhausen. I tried but never managed to meet him, but we spoke on the phone once and he said something about the moment the cyclops picks up Sinbad which I’ll never forget. I’ll relay it in a comment on that video ASAP.
Thanks for all you’re doing.
@@GrantTarredus Wow ! Thank you! Yes it is a shame that Karel Zeman is not recognized in the rest of the world. His films are amazingly detailed and done with great quality and inventiveness. I am seeking out more productions from him to see if he has more stop-motion I can upload. Thank you again for your nice comments. It just made my day😊

I think Karel Zeman had a huge influence on american directors like Wes Anderson, Terry Gilliam and maybe Tim Burton as well. Recently visited the Karel Zeman Museum in Prag. It was amazing! Very cool, that you got to talk to Ray!
@@niklasernecke8963 Thanks! And very cool that you were able to see the museum! I’d love to make it there one day!
@@pparenteauvfx What About Robocop 3
I remember watching this as a kid (of course in English) I'd just thought it was a weird fever dream or miss remembered thos for something else
Gosto mais dessas animações do que computação gráfica.
A local station in the late 60’s called “Fliberty Gibbit” would show a serialized version of this with an English dub.
I love stop motion dinosaurs, Pteranodon and Prehistoric animals much.
where did you see Pteranodon I only see argentavis
4:43 oh wait I see it
動物の世界って番組だと思いますよ~😮🤔
This was one of my Favorites as a Kid I had the English version and I thought it was a T-rex vs the Stegosaurus not Ceratosaurus hu wieard at least that makes sence now but for real the Stegosaurus story they told how we saw it for the first time to seeing die definitely one of the sadest things I rember to this day.
Footage from this film(in black and white) was shown in the third pathfinders in space series “pathfinders to Venus”(1962).
Thank you for this!
@@GrantTarredus It is a pleasure to share with people with the same interests 😁

Ein sehr gutten work.
wait you said it was Czech in origin right? when who come he Stegosaurus and the Ceratosaurus. doesn't have sound but the English version does?
@@GojiTynova I guess the English version took some liberties with the source material and adapted a bit for the American market.
Handsome
the ceratosaurus looks like godzilla
Well, a little bit, but its dermal spines (osteoderms) are different from Godzilla's dorsal plates, and it possesses its distinguishable nasal horn.
"It looks like Godzilla, but due to international copyright laws, it's not."
Just like pretty much all the retro theropod dinosaurs
Why they dub a different language?
@@GojiTynova It is not a dub. It is Czech in origin.
