It's weird, some people really like McFarlane's figures, some people say they are totally worthless piles of garbage.
I think that's something reasonable, there are good and bad releases.
I think they release some of the best figures, some I won't get even close. Some themes in these figures and storylines are really heavy, and even in a very well done figure, I'll do my best to not touch them.

I think McFarlane figures are really good, yeah they have some bad figures but wouldn't completely say don't get any of them

I'm a DC guy so McFarlane DC Multiverse is top priority for me, but I also extensively collect Marvel Legends. I've believed (and i think anyone completely honest with themselves would know) that McFarlane was making the best superhero action figures at the regular consumer level since he acquired the license in 2020. Let's stop pretending otherwise. BUT, I can't help but feel like 2024 belongs to Hasbro. And it wasn't because of anything they really did to "beat" McFarlane. For McF, it was all internal. The year started with the horrible announcement of the Crisis wave being website exclusive and $40/piece. It took quite a while for McFarlane to get going this year, and while this year has been yet another swish/rinse/repeat year for Hasbro in terms of Legends, it almost seems like the figures have been released to spite McFarlane. We got a grade A+ Angel with the perfectly engineered wings and we Multiverse collectors know wings has always been something McFarlane has NOT figured out. The Hulkbuster is better than the Justice Buster. And I'm really thinking that Man Thing might be better than Swamp Thing, if having less shelf presence. I only really see McFarlane trying to "steal" this year with these last 2 months of releases like the BvS wave, Geo Force, Green Lantern, Huntress Collector Editions, Robin and Deathstroke Page Punchers, and (finally!) Reeve Superman. Ending the year with a bang is really their saving grace. I feel like Hasbro is not doing that, but they've been much better, consistently, throughout the year. McFarlane having the Batman Forever wave, West Batman, and these Batmobiles, plus giving us poseable capes, interesting concepts (like the JLA Task Force wave), and still remaining generally cheaper than Legends helps their case, but I have to look at the whole rather than just an explosive couple of months. I will say McFarlane is FAR more improved than Hasbro over the course of having the license. Hasbro still uses antiquated wrists and ab crunch articulation. Their sculpts are basic with too many figures simply having painted on costumes, and Hasbro is dipping their toes into cloth goods. Don't know why that's taking so long on Legends considering they're already doing it in G.I. Joe. So, conclusion: McFarlane has been FAR more creative, economic, and still makes better figures overall, but Hasbro has been too consistently good for the whole year, while (to me) it seems like McFarlane is just finishing the year with a huge bang.

@@kevrulz06 definitely agree with most of that
