    You can also spray them lightly with unscented hairspray to keep the glitter from falling off

    We use clear acrylic matt spray. It does dull the glitter some. We have started glittering everything. We use clear glitter when we dont want the paint to show without the glitter look. Just matt paint sticks for us when its in the heat or in storage after a week.
    I think it has some to do with the oils. Oklahoma heat is not kind.
    Parchment paper does work.

      Hi! A car freshie is basically just an air freshener that hangs in your car. Some people also put them in their gym bag, closets, drawers, etc.

    What cooking spray do you use to keep your freshies from sticking to the cookie cutters? I'm having an issue finding one that works but doesn't leave any yellow tinge to the freshie.

    I want to ask a question please! I used to be an artist and paint with acrylic paint and I was taught to use hair spray for the finished painting to protect my paintings, Other artist taught me this. Maybe it will work on our freshies to keep them from sticking to the bag?

    • @CreativelyErica
      @CreativelyErica  7 місяців тому +1

      Not a bad idea, definitely worth a try. My only concerns are that the hairspray will take away from the scent of the freshie and that hairspray is highly flammable and it gets really hot in cars during warmer months.

    • @kaylagraham8225
      @kaylagraham8225 Місяць тому

      @@CreativelyEricathe hot cars concerned me too when I first heard of this, but when you hairspray your hair it doesn’t catch on fire from being in the heat, so I wonder if a light spray would be ok if you imagine it like being hair

    Hey Erica! I love your channel. I make candles and am getting ready to add a freshie to my lineup. I’m unsure if I should make them to order or keep them stocked. Do they have a shelf life once they’re made and packaged?

    • @CreativelyErica
      @CreativelyErica  Рік тому

      Thanks so much! That's awesome! I keep my popular ones stocked because I know they'll sell and won't sit for long. But all my other ones I make to order so they're getting the "freshest" freshie while the fragrance is strong. I'd say about a month if you still want them to be fragrant but I've personally used some that I had sitting for about 2 months in my own car and the scent was still there. I think it kind of depends on the fragrance oil you're using, the packaging, and how you're storing them also. Hope this helps!

    I can't even get my beads to work, I've had it in fragrance for at least 6 months. I have added so many beads to try and soak the fragrance up but nothing is working. Do you think it's my dark amber jars? You put in so much of your time I don't know how you make any profit. Unless u don't count your time.

    • @CreativelyErica
      @CreativelyErica  Рік тому +1

      6 months?! 😲 girl those are trash now, I would start over. Could be the amber jar, could be cheap beads, could be cheap oil, or maybe you just used too much oil. Certain oils are thicker (like most vanillas) so I use less of that oil knowing it takes longer to absorb. Also, aroma beads only absorb apx 30% of their weight total, so after they've soaked up all they can, the excess oil just sits in the jar- not allowing them to fully dry/cure. I calculate for my time for sure lol, my freshies go pretty seamlessly at this point so they don't take too long. Decorating is the longest part for me but the longer I take to decorate/the more decorated the freshie, the more I charge for them.

    • @pamcolechadwell1302
      @pamcolechadwell1302 Рік тому

      @@CreativelyErica good, I didn't want you to miss out on your time. I think it's a mix of cheaper oil and beads.
