Being a mental juggernaut with instant memory recall is why Stafford and McVay merge so well. When they first met, McVay was picking Staffords brain and it was a version of what you just watched, Stafford walked Sean through an entire comeback series, play for play when Sean was the OC in Washington. Being on the same BRAIN level is a big deal.

I know that but I wasn't going to say that.
Jared is a talented QB but he's not as dialed in as McVay, he's a nice person, so is Stafford but Matt takes a bit more ownership of his responsibility and leadership. As McVay states "he's a STUD"...and Goff is not.

The most incredible coach in NFL to me and I don't mean stats but his culture, fairness, positivity, memory, friendliness, focus, passion, energy and amazing leadership. All these are intangibles that they tend to look for in players as well. The Rams struck goldmine with McVay.
