    Dude thank you so much for the review and kind words. I’m really glad you like the guitar. Looking forward to seeing you’re beautiful face (and beard) at NAMM!!
    To anybody that’s got their hands on one of these or the Baritone, I hugely appreciate it! 👍

      Richard Harrold Rich Man.... Yeah it looks a lot like one, but if I wanted to get one in the guitar the price would be closer to 1600.... i chose the covers specifically because I use BKP’s in my protos and loved the custom look. But tonally I did spec it to be less output and slightly warmer like an HFS.
      It’s not really a knock off as much as it’s inspired by.

    I played one of these at a guitar center in Portland a couple weeks ago. It was high up on the wall. It played nice and I liked it, but it was insanely heavy (like a slab of slate), the bridge pickup was flopping around, and it was way over priced for a Korean made guitar. Something like $1,399usd. To me it felt like a $600-$700 guitar. I am a fan of Rebea. Love his music and playing style. A true talent.

    Probably the coolest chapman model. Getting a little GAS now.
    Although I will admit that price is a little steep. I could get a Schecter KM-7 guitar, or a spend a little more for something like an ESP E-II or an Ibanez Prestige. Hell, at that price I could get a Balaguer with modest specs.

    I totally agree with everything you said in this review Fluff except for one thing... "at a really decent price point." It's tough for me to justify spending $1,250 for a guitar produced at WMI, especially without premium pickups. How is Holcomb's PRS SE only $900 with his Duncan pups? It's much cheaper to upgrade tuners than pickups. Maybe it's the Padauk neck that demands the hike in the price... I don't know. But if it was priced like Holcomb's SE, I'd probably buy Bea's guitar. He's one of my favorite players! There's too much competition with great American guitars (especially in the used market) at the $1200/$1300 price point.

    Hows the bridge pick up sound especially in lower tunings - cause i am talking about baritone model with 28 inch scale , like gis or even fis, like clarity and definition, which is very need in those kind of tunings and i dont have any experience with their pick ups, maybe they sould put some bare knuckles or fishman there, whats ur opinion on them? . It has 28 inch scale , one thing that i dont know about is that pick up there. And why they make bolt on construction, neck thru would be better in my opinion

    I think Chapman went too high with the price point for these guitars. $1250 for a Korean made Chapman is tough to swallow. Maybe for the PRS stuff, but you can get an American PRS Vela for the same price. American Strat or Tele and Gibson Studio and Tributes all in the same range. You can get Ibanez Prestige models for a just a little bit more and those are made in Japan (and, IMO as good as money can buy). Those ALL have better resale too. Maybe next year.

    • @cabbycabby1770
      @cabbycabby1770 6 років тому +8

      If you think Koreans don't know how to make a proper guitar... I'm not sure what to tell you. Overseas prices are rising for many reasons but the quality is there. Just wait until all -$1000 are made in Africa.

      Cabby Cabby I didn’t say that at all. In fact I said PRS guitars are a better option. Made in Korea. I said $1250 is a lot for a Korean. I own a Ghost Fret, $999, a price I could get down on.

      They are made in the same shop. Under the same roof as PRS SE. Schecter. LTD. And many more that say MADE IN KOREA (South Korea). Agreed on the over $1000 price. I have SEs and American. Chapman 7 string, is a solid guitar.
