Che took themselves way too seriously. People don’t actually talk like this. Way too “in your face” and the comedy shows were more like self help seminars.
TV’s most hated character? Scrappy-Doo, I knew one day you would get vindication.
Now he's vindicated enough, with the absolutely godawful Mindy Kaling Copy called 'Velma' taking his Place.
Never understood Carrie’s friendship with Che. There was no chemistry.

Thanks for this much needed rewrite. While I'm appreciative of the Non Binary representation in Che, I hated that they made Miranda cheat on Steve with them, though to be fair, Che broke things off as soon as they found out that the marriage wasn't polygamous. Sara Ramirez is very talented, but they're wasted here.

We actually did meet Che's ex-husband on the show. He contributed absolutely nothing, but he was there!

I think for season 2, the writers watched her as Callie on Grey's. Season 2 left like they were trying to soften her up a bit
Oh I don't think the Actor was the issue. This I blame purely on the writers.
I think it would be really hard to get adequate attention to the new characters, while still developing the stories of the original characters. I know they wanted to fix some of the mistakes of the original show, but they were trying to do so much they ended up not doing any of it well. I think they should’ve just done a reimagined series with the same basic premise of the first show, 4 30-somethings navigating love and friendship in the city, with a new diverse cast that tackles the hot topics of today.
I love this Fix It Series. Please do Bonnie Bennett from "Vampire Diaries" next. She was an interesting character, yet she was often shafted in favour of Elena and Caroline, the white female leads.
And then Rachel Berry.
I'm non-binary myself, but Sara Ramirez's talent was completely wasted as Che. Aside from that, the writing should have been a bit more realistic as far as Che's character than just another walking stereotype. And yes, that unfortunately is the case as far as most shows and movies, but really, there were some good moments with Che, but more likely than not, they were outweighed by the more awkward moments. Still, it's disappointing that they won't be back for Season 3 of And Just Like That.
So like, the writers team should have a Non-Binary writer who’s actually seen the SATC franchise, makes sense. Tho I’m guessing cuz the actress got a fuckton of criticism for the character she’s not even coming back to the next season, if there’s gonna be another one
I don't know which writer on this show needs to hear this but most Non-Binary people don't spend all day talking about how aggressively non-binary they are.
They have personalities and hobbies outside of "dunking on CIS White Men"
What Che did as a standup comic what just sad…. Plus, the way they treated Miranda was just pathetic. Good Riddance!

I never thought I would ever hate on Sara Ramirez, and I’m not sure if it’s the writers fault or Sara’s in their portrayal of Che
I tried to get through the second season. I literally couldn't make it through the recap of season 1. I tapped out before Episode one of season 2 even got going.
They did made che better in season 2 but they really messed up the character in season 1

It's a shame how wasted Ramirez is. They helped break ground with Callie Torres who's coming out story was groundbreaking for LGBT characters, especially since it was post Will And Grace.
Che feels like they're trying too hard with getting with the times. Plus the fact they're a reason for Miranda's character assassination makes it worse.
Hopefully if there's a season 3 perhaps they take inspiration from this vid
Ramirez is not going to be in season 3. They announced last year that they aren’t on the show anymore.

The actress playing Diaz was let go because of her political and personal stance concerning the whole Pakistan situation. Just so happens...the character on the show was floundering as well and so they and Miranda's relationship ran its course. Che came on with a bunch of of attitude and such a self-important agenda that...well...who cares. It was a turn off for this viewer and I suspect many others. The old Miranda wouldn't have succumbed to Che's BS. Sad that they sacrificed Steve in this whole storyline. Here is hoping Miranda goes back to Steve.

The writers did a terrible job with Che’s character. They made them very unlikable and had Che make Miranda act like a completely different person. This would’ve been a great opportunity to showcase a nonbinary character but they ruined it. MsMojo had good examples of where Che’a story could have gone.
Che did not need to come back. In the real world, they would’ve run into Che again after the breakup. Che was a main character so having their storyline doesn’t make since.
It hurts that this is one of the few enby representations in major media, but tbf Che didn't *have* to be a morally good character. They did them dirty by making them still a sidepiece to the storyline, but the thing that made them annoying was their f*ck-boi ways.
Che was dishonest, acted holier-than-thou because of her identity alone (not that identity is not important, it does impact you hugely); but Che spoke exactly like one would type on twitter. In declarative, absolute sentences making generalising, condeming statements about everybody and not giving *anyone* a chance to display normal humanity, connection, understanding. Y'know the stuff that builds societal understanding between marginalised groups and the majority. All the while being kinda self-centered, hiding behind their humour and loud-mouth opinions instead of instrospection. Manipulative in relationships and being emotionally immature.
The thing is though ... there ARE toxic people like that IRL who are both queer and non-queer. So. Many. Of. Them. Che was giving f*ck-boi (non-gendered) behaviour and instead of getting called on it by other characters, esp Miranda who should know better, it left the audience with the unintended implicit feeling that Che's way of handling relationships was justified.
Past seasons of SATC knew how to handle f*ck-boi/f*ck-grrl/f*ck-enby people ... by displaying how their hurtful, immature behaviours and mindsets hurt the people around them. Big was the greatest example of this. Small aspects of this in Steve battling some patriarchal/toxic masculinity urges during the early days with Miranda. Small aspects of it in Trey refusing to set boundaries with his overbearing mother. Half the men the original SATC4 slept with.
And it didn't undermine any future redemption arcs, it was a welcome, reality-affirming way for the audience to connect over the ain't-shit people in their lives.
Che was an interesting character..I hope they can find a more likable Che for the series and Miranda goes back to Steve although I hope Steve makes her suffer a little first
I actually like that character. And I am glad that they included that cheracter within this show. I think the writers did well when they wrote her charafter because they showed the complexity well of what being human can be like, especially for a non-binary human being. Although, I don't like that they wrote of that character being the one with whom the other character cheated. But I am not against there being a non-binary character on the show. I just don't like being written into a show a character cheating because I am against the idea of any person cheating whether that person is non-binary, questioning, bisexual, gay, lesbian, or heterosexual. Cheating is wrong and is disrespectful to one's partner.
I don't know much about Sara Ramirez, but I hope she can recover and continue to work in spite of this particular role. Maybe at my age, it's really hard for me to accept the believe that gender is a social construct. I can't wake up being a woman today then decide I'm a guy tomorrow. I'm not wired that way. I found the character of Che Diaz repugnant. Not only did they take my real last name and slap it on a character, they slapped it on a disgusting character. Mean, self-centered, inappropriate (who seduces someone in the kitchen of a sick friend/co-host?) and physically unappealing. If this was the writer's way of introducing non-binary, poc characters to gain support for that community, it failed miserably. The styling of Che's character really rubbed me the wrong way too. The eyebrows, the hairstyle... I don't know. I'm not into androgyny. It actually makes me feel uncomfortable if I look at a person and I can't tell if they are male or female. That being said, I also wonder about people who make their ethnicity/religion/sexuality/personal crusade the center of who they are. All of those aspects make up a person, but I think focusing on just one and making that the whole meaning of that person's life and shoving it in people's faces is just weird.
Watched just a few episodes and found the storylines so off from all that we knew from the series, and Che was so awful, and after all Mirandas sexcapades and true love trials and forgiveness with Miranda and Steve- i found the storylines flase and offensive that i turned it off and never watched again. So very disappointing.

They them as a pronoun is just to confusing,,, why not just create a new word to describe non binary people instead of using ones that mean multiple people 🤔 everytime the narrator says "they" when talking about che I get all lost.
If you can find a viable word then I'll gladly ask Msmojo to use it

You know what's worse than the character, the gross overpronounciation the narrator of this video did on Che's real name, Sarah Ramirez.
It doesn't have an accent. You don't pronounce it with a Central American accent.
It's worse when white people over emphasize a foreign name when they AREN'T foreign because you are over attempting to "be conscious".
Just because someone has a non standard "American" name, you don't try to say their name with an overexaggerated accent. My last name is Italian. I'm not from Italy. You don't say my name like I'm from Sicily.
Sarah is from the US. Not Mexico. You don't say her name like she's from Tiajuana. It's just SARAH.
