I have been a welder and machinist most of my life. Let me tell you that you do some very nice work. You have a wonderful shop and a great set of tools. This is a quality unseen by what machines make for us today.
I just must say that your skills and technique are nothing short of a mastery of your craft. Your skill and precision is insane, and your work and finished product is an absolute masterpiece. Metal working, wood working, everything you did in that entire video was precision and perfection. I know nothing about swords other than they are sharp and dangerous. I also know quality from a cheap gargabe wall decoration on a highschool kids bedroom wall. And that katana you made was quality. Awsome!!!
Was this your first sword? JUST JOKING!! Words can't say how beautiful the work is you are doing. You are a true master of your craft. There is little respect for that level of craftsmanship in America these days.
Wherever you live has an outstanding lumber supply. That plank doesn't have a single knot. Just another sign that you care about what you're doing. Great work.
Very nice. Looks amazing, also looks fun. Must be very pleasing when you complete a sword and look back on what it started as and what you've created from it.
we cant physically make them as good as they were because each sword smith in acient Japan made their own steel and worked out the recipe until the sword was near impossible to forge... and then they would forge the sword... for years. and then it never left that family that paid for it to be made. this guy is the best representation of that craftsmanship i can think of and he does some amazing and historically accurate work.
Wow, very instructive video, for me a Kendoka is very interesting to understand how the katanas are made of, and this is modern way wichs is allways good to know that this art (bladesmiting) is evolvin aswell and have a lot of surprises to give us. Thank you for this video I enjoied it, it was very helpful and very instructive.
Found myself applauding at the end of this video. Makes me sad when I consider I chose my occupation for money and not what I love. I think I'd love being able to do what you do and make a living out of it. Awesome video, subscribing.
I love this sword, you crafted something beautiful :D Although for some reason the little shapes on the blade itself look like animals playing with one another. Really, really good work right there!
wow people who dislike this are jelous because they still cant use a paintbrush btw how much is a amazing katana like that worth im gobsmacked by your amazing rarae and overall jaw breaking craftsmonship!!!!! i cant get over it!
Jesus I am sorry I missed the hammer in this year. I truly wanted to talk with you again. It has been hard for me this last year with my new job and trying to finish my commissions. But I am slowly and steadily working on them. And this blade is one of your very best, and regardless of the blade being made in Japan or in the US, you the craftsman is truly a master of your craft.
amazing... first video ive ever seen that shows the baking of a saya... I have always wondered exactly how one was made perhaps you could do a full video on just that?
Of course the Katana is the best steel and blade in the world (in fact on youtube you can see bullet versus Katana) I believe a Katana is the result of hundreds of years of improvement and for sure the creator hides a lot of secrets during his creation. Very nice video and great job. Well done. ***NoDrugNoFear"
