It’s not a fake accent! When u live with a person that has an accent there are actually people where you will notice a little of that accent as well. It’s not something she does on purpose. Loved the interview Heather I listened to it on your podcast ❤️🙏🏼
I believe it to be true. I'm Australian and when my sister moved to Colorado 16+ years ago, she now has an American accent.
I studied communication in college. There is a theory that explains the “accent”...it’s called Communication Accommodation Theory (CAT)

Dorit is 43 going on 44. Her 40th birthday was on season 7 which was filmed nearly 4 years ago.
I’m loving her this season
She is my favorite, her enthusiasm for life is so genuine. I believe everything about her and I think her "accent" is neuro-divergence. She uses unusual words, and has a strange cadence.
Dorit has the best style hands down. She's a little annoying but i think she has a good heart.

Coming from a Brit, born and bred I tell you even back in the day, Dorit never had anything close to a British accent. I feel like the minority saying this but I don’t mind Dorit and think PK is great. 🤷🏽♀️

Don't bag LVP Heather. She made RHOBH with her class, business acumen genuine love for animals and business success. Which other Housewife has these attributes, answer is none. They are jealous of LVP's success, jealous that none can have their own reality series such as Vanderpump Rules which I love watching.
Anne Neamontis she wears real fur; she lies which is ALL on air since season 1... She is great tv but also VERY manipulative. And VanderPump rules is kinda done and over since all these new kids... sorry 😐
Brandi said she wears real fur. Brandi also said she got Cedric deported which Cedric said was a lie. And, Pump Rules demo is higher than RHOBH’s so it’s not done yet

Dorit plz keep up the good work this season. Stop going along w kyles bs and start taking a stand against the bullying! Theres a change in u this yr and the fans are taking notes!!
I love Heather, but not one of her better interviews. But that's not her fault, because Dorit is boring. What about the law suits and Puppy-Gate??

Great Interview w/Dorit... I like her in her more natural hair & make-up. I saw a warmer side of Dorit in your interview, & I think it’s all very positive for her image. She & PK seem to be lovely people in real life, & this season seems to show that better than in Seasons 1-3. I am glad they are in a happier place in their lives, safe & happy 🙏🏻

As someone tgtas lived Dorit since her first season I'm so glad other people are starting to warm up to her.
I do not like Dorit, never have. But I can honestly say that I do not like her a little less now because of this interview. Heather you did a great job.
Its peculiar how dorit has moved from a space of being incredibly unlikable to being somewhat tolerable, and even enjoyable at times.
Meanwhile seems like people are liking Erica less overall.

Speaking of accents I grew up in France in morocco for the first 12 years of my life and I was told it when I went to boarding school on a full scholarship by the way, that I had a very unusual accent speaking English during year one. My parents are both from New York but I did have a knack for language (similar to what Dorit said) and I did speak; not fluently but well, 4 languages before I came to the states to permanently live; and those languages were English, French, Spanish & Arabic. However, Madonna, in my opinion, is definitely guilty of sounding cringingly fake.
I love, love, love Heather! I have to say that she's either exhausted; feeling poorly; stoned; or bored out of her ever loving mind! Dorit could talk the leg off a piano.

I'm just now seeing this, so at 30:55 Dorit mentions following Hillaria/Hillary Baldwin's exercises...then they get right into Dorit's accent being attacked as fake. What timing! And I have to say I love Dorit's lilting accent and I don't think it's faked at all. She's just herself.

I’d love to hear more from the guests . I appreciate the art of conversation but damn, I find myself skipping Heathers parts bc I’ve heard it before or it gets too long winded. I have a suggestion, maybe do a Q and A ie Scheana Shay style (check out her new UA-cam, she is killing it). Your favorite subscribers will love hearing all about you via the video and the rest of us can hear more from your amazing guests. You pull some great guests and also, a lot of them are rare and have only done a few, if any pods. Why not take the time to really get the info your listeners want to hear as they come to juicy scoop for something special. You know you’re successful bc you mention it all the time (I do love a confident woman) bwahaha and now this kind of sounds bitchy and passive aggressive, idk hell maybe it is!!!! However, your content is different and has so much more potential. In this world of 300 million people and 301 million podcasts, we all crave something outstanding and unlike any others. Authentic, captivating, creative and just genuinely interesting to take us away from the numbing routine of life for an hour.
Keep on keeping on and getting us through quarantine.

I disagree. LVP & Ken were the best part of the show. I don't appreciate how Dorit treated LVP when LVP was a great friend to her. Season 9 was all about Dorit giving too much life to puppy gate. All the other women got involved in something that was none of their business. I lost respect for you Dorit. RHOBH is not worth my time w/o LVP. Season 10 is more of the same bullshit but w/o LVP.

I liked Queen Dorit from day one. My favorite RHOBH.
I like Dorit but she seems extremely materialistic. I dont think she would have gotten with P.K. if he didnt have a lot of money to spoil her with. I remember they were having money issues and she was still spending like crazy. In one episode P.K. that it was too much when she bought Versace plates lol.

Re accents - People in my hometown have very lazy tongues & are slack in their pronunciation (i.e. ear-in instead of earring). After moving one town over. but still within the same state - people in my hometown starting saying "you've got an accent". Truth was, I did not develop an accent, but instead learned to speak correctly.
