Lately toy influencers specifically around DC multiverse side of things are feeling like paid employees lately they never bring the bad stuff for mcfarlane to improve for the community ive never seen any of them in person say hey todd this isn’t working or this needs to be improved like those weird chases people cant order like manhunter or the question. I love prepose capes specially the ones from spawn or mcfarlane figures. If its wired cape it better pose i dont care what company you are but it better do its job . Other wise dont do it . And speaking of prepose dont mind some action figurws having some prepose parts and we.dont need like 30 points of articulation on every figures after time they just get to loose and woobly just give enough articulation according to the character .
I got my batmobile forever from back of the 90s the one that use to transform 3 in 1 batboat, batwing and batmobile and i still got with me. I remember that back in the 90s we had a batmobile from Batman forever and it was pretty solid i think probably heavy too soooo i dont if mcfarlanes will be any better and what will the price point will be..To me the batmobiles and batwings need to be made durable and heavy so i can feel i pay for something on not that cheese McDonald's plastic for kids. Also, the inclusion of Effigy, a character that has not been seen since...what?...Final Crisis? Why does that even need made? And THAT version of Shining Knight? Ugh. Would love to have heard the thought process on those two characters.

I gave up finding it for retail price, but I would hate to get one 2nd hand only for it to get a reissue. I also don't understand the Manhunters or the Platnium edition line. In the UK we don't have stores that sell Mcfarlane on shelves. We don't have ollies and target etc. We can only buy online so platinum versions for us is impossible. 😢
Thanks to store exclusives, platinum editions, and distribution, I haven't bought a McFarlane figure so far this year. I did preorder Adam West, but that's probably going to be it this year, unless I actually see the Batman Forever wave.
You know who knows capes more than Todd? Marshall Rogers, George Perez, Walt Simonson, Art Adams, and that's just a few off the top of my head. Todd took capes to extremes, IMO. It works for Spawn since the cape is a living entity, but not just fabric capes.
Obviously the variant for the Batman Animated line will be Hanukkah Joker. Platinums/exclusives are a necessary evil, I just wish it didn't advance to named characters like it has. Different colorings or different outfits, fine. But it's beyond annoying now that named characters are starting to be hidden behind it. More Kenner colored Penguin and White Latern Boomerang and less Blackfire, The Question, Sports master as platinums and I'd be happy.
I wish Todd would return to the aliens franchise and do more colonial Marines. And the new green lantern is a absolute winner 🏆 best way to do the platinum crap Especially if he puts in different constructs 💚😜
He can't. NECA has the license to do 7-inch figures from the Alien franchise. If McFarlane Toys DID do something for Aliens, it would probably be in the Movie Maniacs line. Those are 6 inches, and statues. But I doubt that's what you want.
I'm right with you on your view of the platinum figures. I have found plenty of gold figures. I've only found one platinum figure in the wild and it was a line I didn't collect, Warhammer. I bought it and gave it away as a birthday gift.
What irritates me most about McFarlane is that he can't make an action figure of his own character, with the right outfit, the versions and colors are always mixed up and if you want a correct figure you have to choose the one from Mortal Kombat wich is not much pretty.
That notion that Gold and Platinum editions help sales of other items is highly suspect. Every collector I know goes in and out of the store with one agenda: check the shelves/pegs. In fact, most collectors I know tend to separate their toy hunt runs from their normal shopping for stuff.
I personally collect movie manics but only ones that interest me, like Rocky, Wizard of Oz, the Matrix, etc and I get some of them for gifts for family members sometimes like my dad who loves rocky and the goonies I really wish he didn't make the rocky 3 ones Walmart exclusives because rocky 3 is one of my dad's favorites and im probably never gonna find them at Walmart because the Walmarts I'm near never has anything.

Statues were the reason that I stop collecting spawn figures at the very end back like 20 years ago. My thing has been action figures.
