Can't get enough Kentucky Derby? Horse racing reminds me of board games.

- In this week's video I tracked down a few horse-race-themed games to commemorate the Kentucky Derby. There are hundreds of them, from roll-and-move games played in the ancient empires thousands of years ago to recent "technology-assisted" board games.
A few of these might bring up some memories, but most are pretty obscure. I look forward to your comments about Horse Racing Games.
Meanwhile... thanks for watching, sharing, subscribing, and all that.

I recently learned to plat Cribbage and the score board looks suspiciously like a race track. So much so that there was a game produced in the 60s(?) called Crib Derby that uses Cribbage to race horses.
Now that I think about it my grandfather used to play a game using a four line classic Cribbage board and dice that was a race game.
really calling me out there at 11:55 😵💫
in the category of "not really board games" at the end there, my favourite is escalado. it has a long green mat for the little lead horses to race on, and the whole mat vibrates to make the horsies move. very novel idea to randomize the outcomes mechanically i think.
My own interest in horseracing began quite young with a game called - Totopoly, I also owned the Daily Mirror one you mentioned. 60 or so years on from that original, I still play board games and still play the horses - 6 decades of fun
I've heard of Totopoly, too! I've been gaming for about that many years, too!
Do you sell these? Where can I get them?
