Wow! Your new kitchen looks exactly like your old kitchen. Amazing.
Asians look the same so kitchens do too

I am Taiwanese so I know what they taste like
THEY R SOO GOOD OMG

You are a lot closer to me now! I'm in Southern CA! :-)
That looks awesome and hey, almost everything that has batter of some sort and fried taste great that is why they make everything into nuggets so they can fry them. I will try it for sure, except the cooking the sweet potatoes seems kind of a pain though.
trust you. so i will have to try this.
Looks smashing. I might try it with a little cinnamon or allspice.
Can I substitute the sweet potato flour with cornstarch? Thanks!
I made scallion pancakes.just as you did, love it!!!!!!! made it a few more times...it makes me fat
Yummy!
yum! I loved sweet potatoes when I was little. I suggest you try corn fritters. there so good! I was spending a night at a friend's house (she aspires to be a chef) and we made some corn fritters. and let me tell you, they were all gone the same day they were made XD and I'll be honest I like them when the insides a little undercooked and you just have a little bit of batter inside. but yeah, definantly suggest them :3
Mike, I think it needs some hot oil!
(XD)
It was great seeing you in person at the new mall. Don't know if you remember.. It was like a month ago?? Since then Ive been super busy wasn't able to send you a comment.. Woah, this looks delicious, I would have to replace sweet potato for some yam, and that flour for cassava flour (mandioca in spanish) :D
This is also available in thailand.

Yummy, looks awesome! xD I loved this song that you put on the video, how is it called? Greetings from Brazil! o/
Mike, the ladle is called a slotted ladle.
Can you use those spider web skimmer ladles? That's what I have in my kitchen. These look very good by the way!
I can't find white sweet potato on my city, can I try with regular potato but maybe adding more sugar? and regular flour?
is it also possible to use yams? they tend to be more mushy, would that affect the texture of the balls? i know it sounds weird .. :p
Can the white sugar be substituted with honey or maple syrup?
you're in san Francisco!!! I'm close by
Could you make this with rice flour and sweet potatoes? Or maybe canned Yamms and white flour. I might try that.
This sweet potatoe flour that you are talking about is it the same as Sweet Potato Starch?
I knew I recognized it from your snapchat!
dust with:
quarter cup powdered sugar,
half teaspoon cinnamon,
pinch of nutmeg,
pinch of cayenne pepper
actually.. dust it on everything like nuts.
no.. wait. stuff a few of the balls with wasabi and play roulette.
What if I don’t want to cook all of them? Can I put the remaining dough on the fridge? Will it not ruin the consistency? Thanks!
oh my drool..
Can you substitute the peanut oil for another type of oil?
I can never make this with just one sweet potato.... I'll need one to eat after steaming... just a small one to last long enough to mix in the other ingredients so I can't eat that to...
please help me find all the good taiwanese and chinese restaurants in sf/easy bay area!! i miss good taiwanese and chinese food!
can you substitute potato flour for potato flakes from your local supermarket?
It's Dan approved, that's good for me

Can you use regular flour

Does anyone else think he looks like Jacki chan? he does lol. Those sweet potato balls looks delicious
***** ok cool thanks
I don't really like sweet potatoes/yams but I need to try these! 😳
I'm usually not a fan of sweet potatoes either, but the flavor is very different when they are in baked goods. ^^
Ashlea Johnston definitely worth a try after I tried either a purple yam or sweet potato( always mix them up) in a boba drink and was pleasantly surprised.
whoa is your microwave clock actually purple? that's sick
He cooked a beet inside the microwave so everything got purple :P
It's always beets.
johnny chang
Mines red
Actually no, it's something that the naked eye cannot see. You can only see it back in videos etc.
You know what would be good with that? Hot oil!!!
That room looked like an internet cafe❗️
is that his house or their youtube office?
我真要去台灣 😭
I like
You should go back to San tung in San francisco
Can I use tapioca flour??
random comment, really liked the music
I think her name is Yasmina XD, her reaction was cute :D
Do you compose your own music?
I have tried to make this thing about six different times, and for the life of me, I can't get it to puff up with one large pocket. I don't know if I'm pushing too hard or not hard enough or too soon or there's not enough water in the dough to make steam, but I can't seem to figure it out. I don't even understand how it creates a pocket in the first place. In cream puffs and eclairs, the gluten creates a net to contain one big bubble, but sweet potato starch doesn't have gluten so I don't have any idea what the heck is going on.
Dan and the others also moved to SF?
In indonesia its called "bola ubi"
ha little internet hacker shack you got going on there
The living room is a start up office?
so this dude could cook?
Im perty sure if you minus the sugar those would make some amazing gnocchi.
AYE SF❤️
