Big Daft Skies....! I was driving home recently, the clocks had just gone back an hour so sunset occurs at a sensible time. The western sky was full of vapour trails criss crossing each other so the mix of colours was insane. I so regret not taking a picture. Moral of the comment - If you see a Big Daft Sky, no matter how important your journey, always ALWAYS pull over (if you're driving...) and take a picture or two. Sunsets don't last long! Good series Doug, keep it up!
Big daft skies and learning new rude words..great fun!lol!!🤭🤣But seriously really great tips, tilting the paper, learning about gradients and the hairdryer trick, had masking tape pull paper off in the past and used a few choice words!!So brilliant idea!I do love the dramatic ink sky and something I will definitely have a go at!Thanks so much Doug…looking forward to the next episode!❤
Thanks Doug … this is so helpful as I often struggle with skies and mine are very hit & miss! I had wanted to experiment with ink skies for Inktober this year but wasn’t brave enough 😅
Big daft skies...! 😀

Thanks Peter. Isn't it funny how the briefest of pleasures are often the sweetest. Thanks for your kind comment.

This was excellent and so helpful! Thank you so much!
You are so welcome! 👍👍👍
Thank you Doug ! Very instructive and simply explained so that it makes it easier to appreciate and pushes me to experiment that wonderful art medium.
You are very welcome Dan 😊
Thanks. This was VERY helpful. LOL, just the idea of turning a picture upside down to paint the sky is something I hadn't thought of.
Glad it helped! 😁😁
Wow. Looking forward to your next tutorial
Coming soon!
Really helpful to see how much water you use. Thanks for this. I'm hooked!
You are so welcome!

Welcome!

Glad it was helpful! Just have a play and make mistakes. Best way to learn.
I love the intensity of the ink sky. What type of ink do you use?
Loads of different ones. I think this one was a Lamy ink. A navy blue.
