So there's a thing in the musical community called viola jokes. While they aren't true and are said ironically (any sane person doesn't mean them). Villas get hate stemming from the past where people thought it was an "easier instrument" to play, so they claimed ex violinists swapped to it. It's truthfully a good instrument. A couple people don't understand it's a joke, so they go on a rant of how bad we are (which is infuriating to me as a violist)

There’s literally hundreds of hours for free out there. And quartets of an even higher quality. Nothing is stopping you, go!

My quartet this last semester played it (I was 2nd violin), and it is such a special piece to me because the quartet I was in had 3 seniors who were such a joy to be with because of the way we just meshed together both musically and personally (I was a Freshman 😂).
