      He didn't feel it at all. No pain.

      @radseven89 2 роки тому +3

      Awful stoppage, especially because there were only a few seconds left in the round. Richard Steele was notorious for bad stoppages. Just look at Julio Cesar Chavez vs Meldrick Taylor 1. Richard Steele stopped the fight with just a few seconds to go in the final round, giving Chavez the win he wouldn't have got on the scorecards.

    • @garthfieldcarter5589
      @garthfieldcarter5589 Рік тому +5

      It has nothing to do with how many seconds are left. Benn wasn't defending himself properly and Eubank began unloading. As a referee if a fighter isn't defending himself intelligently and taking shots you have to step in, it only takes a split second to unload a career ending shot. Going out on your shield is such a bullshit 80s mindset, ask Michael Watson or Gerald McClellan their views on early stoppages vs going out on your shield.
      Trainers are culpable too look at the state of Cleverly here and listen to his corner making him go out for the next round which they should never had done: ua-cam.com/video/mEf8t_sxKC8/v-deo.html

    I always liked both of these fighters but they were fortunate to have narrowly avoided the era when they'd be obligated to mandatories vs. Leonard, Hagler, Duran and Hearns.
    Considering Eubank was so orthodox he wouldn't fight southpaws, he ain't half an unorthodox orthodox. Bypasses the jab and leads with the hammer a lot of the time - rather lack unlicensed boxers of that era, in fact.

      @@AnfielddiscipleChris son didn't get "nicked on the juice" it was Connor BENN. For as long as you say you've followed boxing it shows just how much/little you know.

    Benn won the rematch which was a draw Eubanks has said so lately, on the gladiators documentary of them both Benn smokes Eubanks to trend, Nigel would go back in the ring for 1 person only

    Eddie Hearn needs his head examined if he thinks Conor and Chris Jr, can reproduce a fight like this…
    Neither are a 10th of what Nigel and Chris Sr were…

    Eubank was far better than Benn.

    No holding no Bull S**t just a real fight..... When was the last time you saw that?
    Watch this on your TV and not your phone and you will experience what it was like back in the day..
    Two of the greatest fighters of their time putting their lives and futures on the line for real, not hand picked apponents to make the most amount of money as possible, but real fights for the only thing that actually mattered at that moment in time, and that was who the british public thought was the best fighter, hands up to both of them, this type of fight could never happen now days due to greed, and only greed....
    I would rather watch a fomula E race now than boxing, that just goes to show you what protectionism and greed does to a sport!
    Imagine if you could go back in time and snippet that fight forward in time, it woud be the biggest sporting event this country had ever seen, I was there in time, and the sporting majority of people were not even talking about who would win the FA cup or the league, that's for sure....
