I had a PRS SE Custom 24 made in Korea, and a PRS SE Santana…. I sold them both after buying this guitar & playing it daily for a few months. It’s that good. Punches WAY above its price point and the brushed satin/semi gloss neck felt BETTER than the set glossy necks on my other SE’s. It sounds fire on a decent tube amp, and it has even more velvety distortion juice when paired with the PRS goldmine pedal. Great stuff!!!
Great guitar I literally traded a Gibson 100yr anniversary Les Paul studio for it. No regrets the Les Paul sounded nice no doubt but it was heavy, sides of frets were rough, paint job on back of body had paint runs & definitely was not as comfortable to play as the PRS the PRS sounded great comfortable and no fret issues
I played one in store the other day, it could use a pickup/pots upgrade but it was flawless otherwise. Fit and Finish, especially fretwork was amazing!
Met Mike at Sight & Sound in Muncie, IN a few months back. Great dude, very personable and patient with people checking out guitars during an insanely busy event. Guided my buddy toward a Tonare acoustic model with some backstory and cool behind the scenes stories from PRS. Looking to try out this new satin CE when I can find one! 👍🏻
Mike loves the guitars. Over breakfast he told me he bought a vintage PRS a few months ago. He still gets just as into the brand as the biggest fans. He's a perfect fit for him. I love to hear him get excited about what they are up to. He unboxed one of the Hendrix Plexi heads for me out of his car just so I could try it. WHAT AN AMP. Holy crap.
Would you say it caters to 70s classic rock well? I’ve been looking at good budget Les Paul’s for that jimmy page sound but I’m a sucker for the bird fretboard and body style
The buzz about these is huge ! So much so the SE CE 24 price has been chopped here in the U.K. to £530 and TBH with the maple cap and nicer finish I’d be more interested in the them than the satin finish . Nobody would have bought the SE CE 24 at £ 700 when these satin ones at £499 so I’m guessing that’s why PRS dropped the price .
Man. That the price point look at like a Jet guitar or something. I’m sure they wish they were $20 more than you do. Haha. It would make it much easier on them! Thanks for watching!
I play it in the vid. Really. Same pickups and trem as other models. It’s a PRS. it sounds like humbuckers. :) The really impressive thing is how affordable it is. :)
Some of tht of cost savings probably comes from the fact it uses the same neck as the higher end CE24. Just make a bunch of necks for two different models vs 2 different necks on 2 different lines
I’m not sure I understand how there is a different. They short between the coils to ground. As someone who has rewired guitars for 25 plus years it’s two different ways to say the same thing. Unless you are just trolling. Which. If so., ya got me. 😂
$500 used to get you a good guitar with bells and whistles so I can’t get excited about marketing a guitar that gives you the least it can by a well known company. Does it play good? Really. Out of the box I won’t need to spend $100 to have it set up?
Folks This is a PRS SE CE24 stripped down. He didnt play it. No biggie. Go find an SE CE24 vid and hear it there I have USA CE24 and SE CE24 and they feel and sound the same. The feel difference is at the heel ONLY.
Really more understanding how it is made was the purpose. It’s wild they were able to pull this off. Humbuckers gonna humbuck. Next time I’ll give you more of my sweet chops. 😂🔥🔥

I've re-discovered PRS SEs again recently after I got my 2005 Soapbar II back. This CE looks like its going to be great. Love the finish.
It really feels like anything else they make. It's kinda wild.
Love my cherry red SE CE 24....bought it in February...it's incredibly resonant...a feel good, sounds good guitar at any price point !
They really did great with these.

COOL!!! Great affordable option's out on the Guitar Market these Day's ..Great Job PRS...
Wow includes a gig bag! Not many other companies at $499 can say that!
Amazing guitar! Well done PRS!
Cant wait to get it!!

Got the Vintage Cherry. Played it out. Light and awesome sound. Can gig standing all night! Cheers

Seriously thinking about getting that vintage cherry model as a studio guitar.
They are so fun.

Wow this is crazy good
Please make this in a single cut, 22 fret with stop tailpiece and I’ll order 2 of them.
I bet if people buy them, they’ll make more. It’s such a cool model.
Would you say it caters to 70s classic rock well? I’ve been looking at good budget Les Paul’s for that jimmy page sound but I’m a sucker for the bird fretboard and body style
Yeah! Riff away man! It would kill for that.
What's the weight please?
I’m sure weights vary. Do you want me to measure the ones I have for sale currently?
Mine is 6lb 11oz

I’m getting one. Just because. Like a pickup can cost nearly that much.
Yeah like… the trem even. It’s wild they can do this. It’s going to get so many people going right.
Carlos Santana sold me on PRS. This will be my first one.
Had trouble with two PRS SE's with the electronics. Both over $800. Great other than that.
That reminds me, I have to scheldule an oil change appointment for my Les Paul. 😉🤗😘
Gibson, Epiphone, or Chibson? Just wondering.
Is that a dye, a stain, or is it paint?
I would be interested if I didn’t already have a 24. 1 year too late lol
Get it down to 200.00 or 300.00 then I could afford it ,all overseas factories probably make them for 20.00 keep going 😊❤ and get rid of the birds 😊
Man. That the price point look at like a Jet guitar or something.

Have you considered playing the guitar?

I know birds are their thing, but for a stripped-down no-frills guitar I'd rather have dots.
I’m a big fan of simple dots myself. I think it’s really cool with the birds. I think it makes someone’s first PRS all that much more special.
Some of tht of cost savings probably comes from the fact it uses the same neck as the higher end CE24. Just make a bunch of necks for two different models vs 2 different necks on 2 different lines
You are exactly right on the mark. The more they can share, the better the price point.
These are coil split. Which sounds so much better the coil tap
I’m not sure I understand how there is a different. They short between the coils to ground.

What is your favorite guitar in the price range?
I too remember when things were cheaper.
Don’t forget a 1958 Les Paul Custom was $375 in 1958. 😂😂
Folks This is a PRS SE CE24 stripped down. He didnt play it. No biggie. Go find an SE CE24 vid and hear it there

Fender and Gibson should take a lesson!
You never really played the guitar. Too much wasted talk.
Really more understanding how it is made was the purpose. It’s wild they were able to pull this off. Humbuckers gonna humbuck.

@@BsMusicShopMI sounds good 👍🏻
