- MDS and PG Diplomas (Postgraduate Diplomas) in Dentistry are two different types of degrees in the field of dentistry.
MDS in Dentistry, are professional doctoral degrees in dentistry. These degrees typically require completion of an accredited dental program, as well as clinical and laboratory experience, followed by passing a licensure examination. The program usually lasts for 4 years.
PG Diplomas in Dentistry, on the other hand, are postgraduate level qualifications in specific areas of dentistry, such as orthodontics, prosthodontics, periodontics, etc. These programs are designed for dentists who have already completed a bachelor's degree in dentistry and want to specialize in a particular area. The program usually lasts for 2-3 years and focuses on advanced training in a specific area of dentistry.
In conclusion, both MDs and PG Diplomas in Dentistry are important degrees for those pursuing careers in dentistry, but they are different in terms of the level of education and specialization they provide. MDs offer a broad and comprehensive education in dentistry, while PG Diplomas focus on specific areas of expertise.

Mam but in some mds colleges the patient flow are low and all the theory will never work unlesss we do atleast 30- 40 patients in that particular area. And mam can u pllease tell about pursing prostho in outer country🙏

Ranges from 1-5 lac per annum
Master is always master we can't compare with diploma....dci only recognise BDS and MDS other than these none is valid like fellow ships or diploma...even in govt job they clear mention mds will be given priority so don't consider pg diploma equivalent to a MDS
