Gallus Hall audience was trilled with virtuoso young musician. Half of those kids are only 16 - 18 years old. Amazing in Legendary.

IMHO, a majority of professional musicians play and sing for the money. These young people play and sing for the sheer joy of the music! Amazing performance when you consider the only professional on the stage is the conductor. Nejc Becan, the conductor, who co-founded this orchestra in 2002 when he was just 18 and a student at the prestigious Slovenian Gimnazija Kranj School from which this orchestra draws its musicians. He has conducted several professional orchestras during his career, including the New York Philharmonic, Los Angeles Philharmonic and the mighty Berlin Philharmonic.
My friends, it is an honor to hear you singing and playing this heavenly music. My deepest thanks.

I have heard the 9th performed by I don't know how many professional orchestras, choirs and singers. I can honestly say that this is the first time I can hear the words clearly enunciated by the soloists, as well as the chorus. Possibly because they are younger than the soloists I've heard. They haven't developed that artificial (to my ears) voice that opera singers seem to develop where words tend to be come slurred and become heavy. Or possibly the sound engineers did a fantastic job making certain the singers can actually be heard. There is a spot near the end @23 minutes where the 4 soloists sing together. In every performance I've heard before I find myself cringing as the voices seem to be incredibly dissident. I was waiting for that moment. This is the first time in my 70 years that I didn't cringe! The voices actually went together instead of seeming to compete with each other in how loudly they could sing. I just replayed it again to make certain. No cringing! BRAVO to the singers and the orchestra and their fantastic conductor. BRAVO to everyone!
Supreme performance of this symphony. I am so impressed by the enthusiasm of the performers for a musical masterpiece composed in 1824. BRAVO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Magnificent. More heart and artistry than the overrated performance by the CSO as conducted by Solti.

Maestro Becan (My apologies. My keyboard doesn't have the proper characters) I hope you never leave. What a fantastic job you have done with these young people. I would love to see you guest conduct for any major symphony, but I doubt jaded professionals would put their heart and soul into the music that you are able to inspire in these youth. Can I nit-pick and find an error here and there? Possibly, but I've heard them from professionals, too, so don't let anyone detract from the performance your orchestra gives.

TERCER y último movimiento de la FAMOSA Sinfonía No. 9 del GENIO L. V. Beethoven, interpretado por estos muy buenos jóvenes de la Sinfónica, FELICITACIONES !!!!! Es siempre una gran lastima que los camarografos son muy DEFICIENTES, enfocan lo que no deben..... en fin. Pese a todo ello, siempre es un GRAN deleite escuchar este ARTE !!!

Magnífica la Orquesta y los Solistas. Y el Director, joven y muy preciso, marca muy bien los antecompases y las entradas en perfecta sincronía con todas las secciones de la orquesta y las diferentes voces de los Coros, muy bien afinados. Cada versión del cuarto movimiento de la Novena Sinfonía de Beethoven tiene sus propios matices, yo he oído por lo menos unas veinticuatro versiones diferentes y cada una tiene sus propias dinámicas que obedecen a las preferencias de cada director, pero esta en particular me ha dejado muy bien impresionado porque el director no ha empleado partitura, prácticamente la dirigió de memoria y es un desafío muy grande porque de su seguridad depende la perfección de este movimiento en matices, cortes, crescendos y diminuendos de la orquesta y los coros, además de los cambios de tiempo y ante todo la fuga, donde los coros combinan los dos temas principales, y donde las entradas de las diferentes voces deben ser precisas, como también las entradas de los solistas hacia el final del movimiento, para mantener el ensamble correcto de principio a fin.

Very nice. Should have had the singers with just their faces appearing through those flowers as though ALL are the flowers. "Fidelio". So much could be done with this work in a studio. Reverbs. Sound adjustments. Volumes. All so young, healthy and capable.
