    Great video as always Jimmy. Life is very much too short. a few weeks ago, one of my brothers was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer metastasized to his brain. he is fighting but man, it makes you realize how much anger takes away from you over the years. Making it work should apply to so many things in life! Love your philosophy of this. Have an amazing weekend.

      Thanks Kathy. So sorry to hear this. Have to fight, but it’s never easy.

    You got the best price I could find on that funnel. I can’t believe a funnel costs $30 though!

      @JimmyMakingitwork  3 місяці тому +1

      Yeah, it is a handy funnel but a bit expensive for sure.
      Thanks

      Yeah, there is a lot of hit and miss in our industry when it comes to parts.

    The paint on the roof of the RAV4 is a factory defect. My daughter has one that has 230000 miles and the roof is the same.

      Yeah I think some of the water based materials give manufacturers trouble. I remember GM trucks being really bad in the late 90’s. Surprised to see this on one of the fairly new vehicles.

    I have great luck with salvage yard parts. BUT ac compressors, not so much.

    • @JimmyMakingitwork
      @JimmyMakingitwork  3 місяці тому

      Yeah, we rarely install a used AC compressor but still about a 50% success rate.

    Nothing worse than customers that come in and want to wait while asking you to figure out a complex problem you're unfamiliar with.. you remember when if you wanted auto work done you'd drop the car and keys off in a mailbox etc and they'd pick it up in 2-3 days.. just about every week I get someone who wants me to do their brakes and struts on their lunch break.. oh and it has to be on the cheap..

    • @COBRO98
      @COBRO98 3 місяці тому +2

      Oh my Lord the 32K mile Lexus.. you'd THINK they'd be willing to approve at least some of the maintenance and repairs to a car preserved that well.. typical used car "part" dealer..

    • @JimmyMakingitwork
      @JimmyMakingitwork  3 місяці тому +1

      Yeah, I was really surprised he declined an air filter. Especially after showing so much concern that we check it. :/

    • @COBRO98
      @COBRO98 3 місяці тому +2

      @@JimmyMakingitwork That air filter was disgusting and probably was original like you said.. People do the same with moldy cabin filters.. So the A/C compressor was losing it's clutch ground? You bumped the screw/connector and it started working, guessing he didn't want the conversion finished either.

    • @JimmyMakingitwork
      @JimmyMakingitwork  3 місяці тому +1

      @@COBRO98 Yeah, he declined everything we mentioned. He said he loves his car and maintains it 100%, with a 30 year old air filter, lol. Smh

    On that Toyota sunroof, are you sure that isn't a new feature to relieve stress when you encounter bad drivers? I mean, I wish I could push a button and have a cool machine gun sound in heavy traffic, or after being cut off...🙂🤨
