    I've created a complete model of my apartement with it, very intuitive and the renders out of it look great as well. Even for somebody that maybe has built 5 bigger LEGO sets in his life.

      This is awesome, how long did it take you to design your apartment?

      @@bellevebricks I‘d say a week or two with me only doing it in the evenings while watching UA-cam or shows. Sadly I never bought the parts to build it for real, I think the tool put me at about $250 for it 😁

      I am curious about this use for studio. I have old blue prints of a house from the early 1900's that I would like to use as a basis for creating a lego model of the house...one where I can purchase the bricks, and actually build the model. Does this software allow for such designing? Does it actually allow for drawings to be in a specific scale? Can I import a cad drawing or something similar as a base?

    I’ve been meaning to make this same video! I have found studio to be an excellent tool and alternative to building Lego. I have built several vintage sets this route. Great video! Keep it up.

      Thank you ☺️ I completely agree about Studio being an excellent tool! Do you have any plans to build any more sets in it?

      @@bellevebricks My MacBook fan just started going crazy when I tried it sadly so I couldn’t use Studio it because I didn’t want it to overheat

      @@MisterDrewski Your pc should be able to manage the heat as it will use less power just before it's starting to overheat, alternatively a docking station with fans in it (25 dollars or something) will help to keep your laptop cool

      If you are concerned about stand with a built it fan will help cool your Mac, once it’s loaded all the parts it will work well. You can also try and import the set as a palette instead of loading all the pieces

    Oh cool, I can use this to build retired sets and maybe even get a little insight on a set I'm struggling with. (The lighthouse. The mechanism on mine broke the first time and I get to take the whole thing apart...) Building that digitally might help me understand how to put it together physically.

    • @bellevebricks
      @bellevebricks  7 місяців тому

      This is a great idea, you can really get in and see how the pieces go together building it in studio! I would love to hear how you get on and if you manage to get your lighthouse rebuilt 👍

      @@bellevebricks unfortunately I discovered studio is missing a LOT of custom pieces which isn't the biggest deal if you're just missing printed pieces but when it's minifigs (such as with the minecraft and sonic sets) it becomes a real bummer...
      So much for my plans to combine several minecraft sets together in a custom world and then build off it, lol.
      The lighthouse can probably still be doable though, all it seems to be missing is the sticker sheet.

    I think the most correct way is to import the set in the palette (especially for larger sets), not in the scene. in this way the parts will be well ordered

    • @bellevebricks
      @bellevebricks  6 місяців тому +2

      This is a good point, definitely a good way to do it. We will cover a more detailed video that shows how to use the palette soon

    If you custom design a build, does the website provide a list of which exact blocks used - so in theory, you could then purchase these and build your design in real-life?

    • @bellevebricks
      @bellevebricks  6 місяців тому +1

      You can export a parts list and upload that to Bricklink to order the parts of the model that you've created :)
