Sam and Artie's reaction to Ryder's confession made me so angry..... it "unfortunately" tracks with Artie, but really surprised me in regards to Sam. And the fact that everyone sort of forgave them afterwards really bothered me
This is one of the worst handled storylines in the show ever. Sam and Artie's reaction was, although not totally unexpected (and not really out of character for Artie), absolutely unexcusable, and the fact that they weren't held accountable for their comments by the end of the episode made it completely pointless. And the fact that Kitty was also a victim and SPOILER then she went on to date Artie after what he said? I hated everything about this.
I don't really know if this was planned (frankly, I somewhat doubt it), but if you rewatch with this knowledge about Kitty it recontextualizes (but does NOT ABSOLVE) a lot of her actions. Kitty was assaulted and then was bullied out of her middle school. Her best friend turned on her and spread rumors about her. She turns around and makes sure no one can do that to her again. Multiple times she calls Marley's personality an act because she doesn't believe in the goodness of people. Most of the other glee kids have been mean and bullied at one time or another so the glee kids are normal and easy for Kitty to understand. But Marley is kind, and that has to be a trick, so Kitty will destroy her before Marley can get a chance to turn off the act.
Travis 2 things Frida Romero is played by Jessica Sanchez.that was on that seasons american idol. Also Jane Lynch at the time was playing Miss Hanigan in broadway's production of Annie which is why they had her sing Litlle girls on glee
There's a Kitty deleted scene where she talks to Marley in a bathroom. I never understood why they deleted the scene, Kitty severely needed that development.
when i first watch this episode the last song with kurt at the theatre made me watch the movie a chorus line (is a good one ). im not really into meaningfull episodes because i see shows and movies to have fun outside of reality (but sometines is needed) like your reaction.
She now Little girls from Annie well cause she played the Caretaker in Annie Also did you know that Umbridge from Harry Potter also played the role as well as Mrs Lovit from Sweeny Tod
Carole Burnett played the caretaker in Annie and the actress in Glee is Jane Lynch. Also Mrs Lovette in Sweeney Todd is played by Helena Bonham Carter and she also plays Bellatrix, not Umbridge. Umbridge is played by Imelda Staunton.
I've read the other comments and they're right. Sam's response was completely out of character for him given how much he's been shown to care about his friends and their safety, while Artie's is not given how unintentionally misogynistic he's been portrayed as since season 1.
"We Will Rock You" was the best thing out of this entire episode. Some of the other covers were great as well. Don't get me wrong, the whole concept of the lights going out, and the characters revealing their secrets was great but the execution was not. Didn't like everyone joking around with Ryder getting sexually abused, don't like the whole catfishing plot, and the whole episode was crap and the plot went nowhere basically. I do really like the next episode though and I can't wait to see your reaction to it.
Also, this was one more of them creepy-Glee-coincidence as Blake was abusive to Melissa when they were dating then. Ironic he had to act an abuse victim
Sam and Artie were disgusting in this episode. It's not "cool" or "impressive" to be assaulted, regardless of the genders involved. Like yeah it was a good storyline in theory, but the handling of it? Terrible, when it could have been so good and valuable. But Sue's number was fun, at least.
Sam and Arties reactions were awful and didn't feel true to character. Sarah Jessica Parker requested to do the At The Ballet song - which I loved but it does go on for a while.
Sam’s comment was totally out of character. He never said or did anything remotely like his comment. Artie though, not surprised. He said and did some things in earlier seasons that were super questionable
Hate hate the way Artie and Sam react to Ryder confession about being abuse like that's so out of character specially for Sam that was so f up .. but in a way it kinda make sense cause when you are a teenager you don't see why it's a problem really specially boys with older girls but still f up

Seeing Sarah Jessica Parker saying "I love to dance" is such a throwback to her role in "Girls just want to have fun" in 1985!
So. Much.
okay but can we focus on santana working at a bar, working as a bouncer at a lesbian beer garden AND a cage dancer at the same time?? like damnnn

I liked that Kitty gets redeemed, but it happens too quickly for how horrible she was at the beginning.

Let’s be real, this was a low-tier episode
