- The Polar Express is a timeless classic not only with train enthusiasts, but with families. What if it was filmed in 2023 with modern standards?

A diesel locomotive takes the polar express due to FRA requirements. That's funny.
This rolling line skit is in fact loosely based on a true story. When I was volunteering my O gauge trains at a model train show last December, the Polar Express engine I used broke a gear and was serviced inoperable. Since I forgot to bring the backup polar express engine, I had no choice but to place a (T4 and PTC compliant) CSX ET44AH on the front of the Polar Express, with the 1225 decoupled and stored to the side.
Imagine looking out your window and seeing a EMD-SD70
I'd be happy if it was an ex-Conrail SD70 Spartan cab. Sadly, NS sold them all to Progress Rail and are likely scrapped.
When Norfolk Southern Taken His Own Work 💀
I like how it's an NS diesel too like the NS crew have already been to hell and back
I bet The SD70 will break down before reaching Billy’s home
Like any diesel locomotive in sub zero weather and heavy snow! 😂
That K5LLA would be waking up everyone in the neighborhood🤣
Yep Imagine Hearing That LOL! 😂🤣
Best Polar Express movie. Don’t even need a sequel 😂
We'll see how wrong your comment will end up being. ;)
@@jimmyhook4852 the one lad wrong here is you
This is why I love the FRA
You have mental issue
If Polar Express 2 comes out this should be a scene in it
I felt like the SD70 should have been the Polar Express P42 just like what we saw in the 2024 lionel catalog LOL!
But still, this is funny
Precision Scheduled Railroading in a nutshell
This is very good, perhaps you could try to recreate the movie this way using the movie layout on the workshop?
Ptc helps keep railroads safer. Ptc literally saves lives. It’s a good thing
@@BAS19.6 PSR not PTC
That diesel locomotive would freeze to death if it ever pulled the polar express thanks to sub zero temperatures. It's like a glorified car.
POV a csx locomotive pulled the polar express to the North Pole and other stories.
Alternate Ending:
The Conductor: *THE POLAR EXPRESS DOESN'T NEED PSR!*
Also the Conductor: *proceeds to pull out a fucking RPG and blows up the NS SD70*
it litterally says they would be banned from U.S rail
@@ironphilly2366 This is just a joke.
@@DillianTrainzStudios *smears clown makeup on self.*
@@ironphilly2366Is that meant to be me or you? Just curious.
@@DillianTrainzStudios myself
Need an entire version of the polar express but it’s just this and the conductor frequency getting mandates on how he operates his train 😂
polar express 2 be like…
Why is this so funny
Imagine Seeing A SD70ACE In Front Of The Polar Express Because Of FRA Regulations Need Trains To Have PTC (Positive Train Control) For Safety That’s Funny. But The Polar Express Is Gonna Still Crash Because It Is A Norfolk Southern Locomotive Leading The Train LOL!😂
mainline steam locomotives (mainly in the United States) now these days:
When the diesel slammed into the P.E. it inadvertently snapped everyone's necks.
The NS diesels horn made me laugh hard lol
I could listen to before the Diesel shows up for days and be happy.
Polar: So this is the future of these rails? We have to put up with diesels taking over? And the FRA taking our beloved tasks away from us?
Me: Just wait till 4449 retires.
4449: *breaks in; strangles me* DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY IDEAS!
Me: Get your hands off ME!! *Rams into 4449*
Everyone: *Goes nuts*
This video was a genius idea. This is hilarious!
They say pilots are the best and safest right after they have gotten their license or a new rating. I feel like a steam locomotive and its crew is in a similar situation. Probably safer and more reliable for that one day of operation than anything else on the railroad around it. I have been on and around so many excursions where the steam locomotive is literally the one thing that hasn’t had a problem on the trip.
Happening since 2019, steam locomotive getting towed by diesel due to lack of PTC.
Northfolk southern express
I'd be pretty happy if I could drift a SD70ACe across 4 miles of frozen lake with cartoony outcomes.
Well, it's not the first time the 1225 has had to have a diesel put in front of it.
i was really, really hoping that it would just get onto the ice, and just instantly crash through it instead of being taken by NS
The real star is aperently not 1225, instead its NS 1206
That FRA notice is painfully accurate.
😂 The only way that could've gotten better would have been if the ns engine broke down after rolling like 2 feet.
Somehow that goofy Lionel Polar Express diesel they offered actually makes sense now.
i love this game!
There is said to be a polar express 2 coming out
Doubt it lad, the first one did too well to be a second one
1:08 the shaking effect is distracting me from being immersed
Bruh NS comes to the polar Express which is funny the polar Express was about to leave but NS came out of nowhere
NS Dose not have SD70ACe in 2004 until 2011
Its a joke!
It said “Modern Day”.
LOL
Can you bring back americas obscure steam locomotives pls
Question: does it drift in the ice????
yes
@@J.M828 No It Will Break The Ice LOL
I feel like there's a reason this was uploaded on the anniversary of the East Palestine wreck
I actualy want to see the PE movie but with a SD60
PTC is the stupidest regulation that the FRA ever wrote. It is essentially just something they used to phase out older locomotives and gain more control over the industry. If you really look at the data it has not improved safety in any measure and has created more technical hazards.
it shouldve been a gevo for more accuracy
Ahhhhh so that's why they derailed
It's 1206 lol.
Wrong railroad buddy
rename the video to FRA ruins Christmas
Yeah!
FRA requirements mess up the holidays by literally requiring a diesel locomotive to take Polar Express in front of #1225 instead of #1225 doing the work itself.
yes@@Slipperyisimproving
Stupid diesel engine, also what map did you use in this?
Wait it's NS so it's gonna derail
NOT PSR!!!
what's ur function 💀
Running trains filled with chemicals through small towns
This makes sense but I just wanna throw the diesel in the mud pool toad crashed into in season 5 of thomas the tank engine and let it sit there for always and always
Sd70ace pulling the polar express doesn't make you famous
1206 is not famous even though it lead the polar express
@@JamesWellman-hk2zl you do realize holton doesn’t care if he gets popular, he is doing this for fun
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 what a terrible conducter you have said norfolk Southern sd70ace 1206
