To the Anzacs who will read this comment, your losses live on with us. I see the monument in the video as a history lesson that the whole world should learn from. Atatürk's views still live with us; wars and power struggles have led nations into great mistakes. Even today, the world is being driven toward a war; what is happening in Ukraine and the situation in Palestine should not be ignored. It is our collective responsibility to pay attention to the games played by those who try to start wars for their own interests in this world. I extend my condolences from Turkey for your losses.
Thank you brother . I agree with everything you say . I'm sorry that our ancestors tried to invade your country . Some silly reason by some silly old men , wasting the lives of so many . I try to imagine a world where we don't need passports because we all trust each other . In this new world , we won't breed psychopaths , people will know they are loved . Only with the mind of a child (innocence) can we enter the kingdom of heaven . God is Love .🤗❤
Well done you two . Yes so many emotions at battle and cemetery sites. It was a complete debacle by the British high command and the fact it took 8 months to realise they weren’t getting anywhere is just unbelievable 😢
They had no business in being there there. Ottoman Turkiye was the heart of the Islamic world and British imperialist aggression sought to colonise them as they have in others parts of the world. They were defeated. ANZACS were part of that British colonial empire.
The only person responsible for the wars on Turkish soil was "David Lloyd George". He was a complete enemy of the Turks. He literally turned the Turks into creatures in his mind. We Turks do not have any special problems with the British. In fact, General Harrington from the British Army in Istanbul greeted the Turkish army when leaving our country. He showed great respect to Atatürk. But Lloyd George was a typical capitalist. He used Anzacs, Senegalese and Indian colonial soldiers for his own interests. He believed that the Turks should be destroyed. I think he got his answer. On the other hand, we Turks have a general sympathy for the Australian people. We keep the British and Australian people separate. You are a friendly people to us.
As Australians, we certainly felt very welcomed during our time visiting and also have great respect for the Turkish people. It was very moving to learn about the relationship between ANZAC and Turkish soldiers.
Great video, I hope you have a great time and happy, safe and fun travels! But I think it's lost on all AU public that there is a galactic difference that AUS/NZ displays in their remembrance of the battle. Lamenting and commemorating the fallen, paying respects is important but it's crucial to understand that objectively, factually, indisputably these were soldiers sent to invade a foreign nation, on their own soil. This war was NOT in AU. ANZAC was an invasion force; they were **not** liberating Ottomans from Ottoman Empire by killing Ottomans in Ottoman Empire. It's really incredibly hard to reckon how the perpetual story in AUS/NZ is their "sacrifice" and gentlemanly act of their soldiers, how their invading soldiers were "heroes" and all; NOT the fact that Turks got invaded, fought an invasion force, repelled the invasion, lost 250k men/women/children while doing so, all while being deferential to the invading party (e.g Ataturk's words for the ANZAC soldiers). It's incomprehensible how there are multiple perspectives on this, even more so that Australians were even surprised to hear the actual history. What makes this even a more monumental event is precisely how Turks acted magnanimously towards the invading party, sent to destroy, usurp and kill; after having won the fight for survival on their own land.
Yes, we completely understand your point and hope we have not caused any offence in our video. At the end of the day, we believe the soldiers on the ground were just people like ourselves, and we wanted to respect their bravery and sacrifices (from both the ANZAC and Turkish soldiers) without focusing too much on the politics. But we also bear in mind that the ANZACs were technically the ‘invading army’ and have great sorrow for the losses that both sides suffered.
Hi from perth wa im kiwi living here x nz army im head to anzac cove for 2025 dawn servce look do the 8 day tour ,i walked thai burma death railway in 2018 with badly injured aust soilders did dawn servce at Hell fire pass very humble moving place cheers kiwi
Wow that's amazing, I can imagine that would be an incredibly moving experience. We have so much respect for our ANZACS. We actually visited the Thai/Burma railway about 1 month ago and visited hellfire pass as well.
Yes we are very sorry for the wind noise, it was incredibly windy that day and it made it very difficult to film but we hope you can visit Gallipoli one day. Such an iconic place 😊
With all the respect, they weren't on the wrong beach they were in WRONG COUNTRY! I do feel sorry for all ANZAC soldiers and their families because they were forced to go to war, even though it wasn't their war. As a proud TURK on the other hand I/WE do not feel sorry for our lost, because they put their LIFE FOR OUR FUTURE and THEY ARE NOT DEAD THEY STILL DO LEAVE IN OUR HEARTS! It is very unfortunate to leave under other governments rule, because you have to do WHAT they tell you to do :(. Where was the English soldiers, how come no one talks about how many English soldiers lost their lives at the war, because there was no English soldiers, but they had bunch of commanders were far away from the war zone, and when they realized there is no way they were going to win this war they fled, and also where everyone thought that no one can beat the Naval of the England was defeated Winston Churchill resigned from government. As you and rest of the WORLD CAN SEE WHAT WE DO FOR OTHER COUNTRIES DEAD SOLDIERS, on the other hand rest of the world will throw them in hole and cover them with dirt, WITH exception OF SOUTH KOREA DID BURIED THE BODIES AND CREATE A SEMITARY FOR SOLDIERS.
Hi, we can totally understand your comment and hope we haven’t caused any offence. At the end of the day, we believe the soldiers were just people like ourselves and we wanted to honour their bravery and sacrifices (both ANZAC and Turkish soldiers) regardless of the politics behind it all. We believe the Turkish people are incredibly generous in regard to treating other countries soldiers with respect, and for that we (as Australians) are very grateful.
@@TheRoamingPickels Oh no, I am not offended at all. As I stated I am really sorry for all lost lives, because there was no reason for the war. As you might know even the ANZAC soldiers didn't know why they were there. Our hearts goes with them also, on the other hand we didn't have any chose but defend our COUNTRY. As BIG COMMANDER ATATÜRK said "there is no different between JOHNIES and MEHMETS", that been said there is no different between you and I. All I am saying they went to the place they didn't know anything about it with push from GB they just went with blind eyes :(.

Wow your kind words mean a lot. As Australians, we also are saddened and apologise for the losses that Turkey suffered as well.

Thankyou for watching. Yes we did not realise how many mistakes were made until we took the tour. It was very informative.

Thanks for sharing this Gallipoli visit. So emotional for both the Turks & Aussies ❤
You are welcome ☺️ We are so glad to finally visit such a significant battlefield and pay our respects to the Turkish and Anzacs.
Hello from Melbourne 🇹🇷 both sides lost a lot of people 😢 i hope you are enjoying your holiday peace
Indeed they did. It was heartbreaking to hear the stories.
Thankyou!

Yes it was very sad indeed 😢
Well done. Very informative and emotional.
Thankyou, glad you enjoyed it 😊
Very important information, but the wind was a little strong and it was difficult to hear you. I definitely want to visit that place.
