      There was once a time when people memorized and used people’s first names. One reference term for all guys is bad for our culture. People are given a name on earth they’re known by. Names are important. He’s not your brother, you wouldn’t loan him money and be there like a real brother. He wasn’t born to your mother nor has DNA shared with you. He’s not in your family bloodline. Unless you’re both followers of Jesus Christ, there’s no genuine brotherhood between you. If you want to push delusions to make yourself feel all men are brothers on earth you’ll find out there’s no such genuine membership you’ll ever find to prove such imagination. John 3:16.

    In Indian , adding bacopa with ashwagandha is very common. In every brain related medicine both bacopa and ashwagandha is available, and people never observed any side effects like tiredness. Would you please tell me mechanism why adding both is not good ? Thanks

    So is bacopa good for the mood? Does it help fight depression? You said it does boost the mood, but you also said that it lowers dopamine. So I'm a little confused.

    • @NutritionLibrary
      @NutritionLibrary  3 роки тому +1

      So it increases serotonin by a fair amount which will ease anxiety and thereby improve mood. But it also blocks dopamine which can possibly created a depressed mood. Bacopa only helps with anxiety if you have anxiety.

    At the start of the video you mentioned that Bacopa increases Spatial and Verbal memory. At the end, you said it doesn't improve cognition.
    How can this be? Memory is one of the components of cognition. Maybe you meant to say it doesn't have an effect on decision making skills?
    Bacopa is my favorite herb, but recently it induces stomach problems in me. Don't know what is up. Maybe because it has an effect on serotonin receptors, and it is said that 90 percent of serotonin receptors are in the guts.
    Of these three which one has the greater effect on the brain: Bacopa, Ashwagandha, Ginkgo. I know your answer might be Ashwagandha but I still like to hear it. Any other herb that is good for the brain that would beat those three? I am aware of Turmeric and othes but I don't think they work as strongly on the brain.

    • @NutritionLibrary
      @NutritionLibrary  3 роки тому +1

      Yeah. I may have mis spoke. I doesn’t have an effect on executive function and focus. Immediate cognitive performance.
      Ginkgo doesn’t appear to be super serotonergic. Rhodiola is the most serotonergic. Bacopa may he next and Ashwagandha last, simply because it doesn’t actually increase serotonin. By the way, most of the serotonin receptors in the gut are 5HT3 receptors

    hey man, I read somewhere that bacopa affects fertility negatively. Although I do not want children right now but I would not want my sperm count or something. What is your takeon that?

      Possibly lion’s mane. But the evidence is scant at best. I’m also a fan of uridine and phosphatidylserine. Maybe try each of them and see if you like any of them

    I’m taking 5 htp since April and it works wonders for me regarding anxiety, depression and mood swings. I would also like to improve my memory, verbal fluency and stress levels through Bacopa Monnieri. Do you think it would be safe to take 5 htp and bacopa at the same time or should I only take the latter?

    • @Resolutelt
      @Resolutelt Рік тому

      It should not have a problem. You could also try Amix Cortisol Blocker's which has both Bacopa and L-Trypthophan (which is a safer alternative to 5-HTP for long term use). It also has phosphatidilserine which is an amazing compound for cognition as well as reducing anxiety.
