Hey Jorge, im in Texas and thinking about investing on the im608. Did you find that once you bought it, that there was other things you had to buy to make it work? Like software, licenses, subscriptions to something, etc? What do you estimate the total cost was to get everything you needed to start slinging keys?
@@SMASHERJP the im608 comes with 1 year of free updates, after one year its around $900 per year but you may use it without paying, but you not going to get updates for new vehicles or other updates but it still works with some limitations. Its worth the yearly subscription as this tool makes your life a lot easier whether you program keys or use the diagnostics side of it . I own mines for awhile now and still learning new things as I am I self learner (trial and error). Amazing tool . Good luck. Hope that helps .oh one more thing buy it from a autel official sales place, do not buy it from a cheap place as you are not going to get USA assistance if you ever need it.

I tried on a 2014 5 series today Cas4 315 frequency .. it wrote the fob to slot 10 but would only crank the car when held up to the antenna coil ( no start) and no working buttons .. was using a fob from International Key Supply … message came up on cars information center that it was incorrect key .. called Autel tech support .. he tried remotely with my IM608 and came to the conclusion that we would need the ISN # and the only way to get it is to remove the CAS module and program using the G Box .. problem was the module can only come out if intake manifold was removed to get at it as per the tech rep .. I was not doing that .. my thinking is maybe the car didn’t like the International Key aftermarket fob … would like your opinion … which version fob did you use in this video ?

There is a lot of confusion about cas4 and fem/bdm systems, a lot of videos don’t explain that the module must have already been removed previously and had keys added to the vehicle in order to add more by OBD. thats not true- you can use autel im608 to downgrade or upgrade in order to do anything via obd- its similar to ista P on cas3, you basically need to jailbreak the software in order to unlock the functions doing OBD- no need to pull the module

Im608 pro, not ms608im ...brother its not the same ok..simple as that. you saw the issues the ms908 gave u ..if you would of bought im608pro u would have never had that issue with the bmw. never have i ever had an issue with a bmw.
IM508+XP400pro + GBOX + IMKPA is the same as IM608 pro the only thing missing is the JBOX which is not compatible with IM508 that meaning it’s not needed. IM508 with all the add ons does the same thing. Software is the same. Cheers

Hey, I did one CAS4 2012 528i, I was able to add key it would lock/unlock doors. It cranks but would not start the car. codes were security kicked in. Do you know how to fix that?

The im608 never goes plugged in straight.. thats a good way to fry it... and that's something that is always mentioned.. the im508 yes .. but thats only good for non European models..
The j flasher is the diagnostic tool .. it can gather and read information from the vehicles modules.. something that no other scanner can do .. it helps with programming bmw .. Mercedes.. and other European vehicles

It's better not to be done because it's designed not to be done. Euro cars come from a factory with all their keys preprogrammed at the dealer.

Hey Jp i dont really like to discuss prices but I recommend you call locksmith near you and see how much they charge and then try to do a little bit better than them . I get my stuff from UHS-hardware.com

excellent video as always. If you have the OEM key, but the FCC ID is worn off or missing, how can you find the correct FCC ID and signal information?
You can always check under vehicle information on the autel im608 it will tell you the fcc id and frequency!

There is no video explaining why j flasher is needed. Especially in European cars. Isnt the im508 608 ok when plugged directly to the obd?
The im608 never goes plugged in straight.. thats a good way to fry it... and that's something that is always mentioned.. the im508 yes .. but thats only good for non European models..
The j flasher is the diagnostic tool .. it can gather and read information from the vehicles modules.. something that no other scanner can do .. it helps with programming bmw .. Mercedes.. and other European vehicles

Amigo tengo un problema con un bmw 528i 2008 programe la llave con autel im608. Habren y cierran los seguros también el baul pero no da marcha trata de encender pero no da marcha. Ya le hice una sincronización pero sigue igual

i am just about to add a key to 2014 530i via obd2 with xp200 just checked it through Autel web they say its possible but I'm double checking
Its a fem module cannot do it obd.. if it lets you .. you have to remove ecu and fem if im correct.
