Thanks Jim, I ordered a VW ID. 3 77kWh Match Pro S through Lease Loco. £356.30, 24 months, 1 month down, 12k per year. It’s my first lease, so all your videos are much appreciated.
Nice work! 👍
Just done my ALA via your link, your videos have given me so much guidance over these last few weeks. Thank you.
Great to hear they have helped! 👍
Recently called ALA... Lovely people. Very helpful. 👍
Glad to hear it
Cheers Jim
Thanks Andy
100% agree, the iPace will just plumet in value if you buy it new. I wonder where they have been parked for the last year or so?
Yeah, and I wonder if they had any charge in them…
The issue with the Nissan Ariya (just before Christmas) was advertised just around £325/mth with the long range battery.... But as I've told your viewers before, the company advertising it do NOT stand by their Lease Loco price. They make excuses for reasons why it should be another £75 or £100 per month more.
Yes, but even with the extra £50 on top (which most reported) that makes the top spec big battery £375 which makes the deal on this one seem less exciting than a 95.
Report to ASA?
Great edition as usual, keep up the good work! Cheers
Much appreciated!
👍👍👍.Thank you Jim
Thank you!!!
Jim, many thanks as always- some great deals there for all budgets
You are very welcome mate
Cheers Jim 👍
Cheers Mate
Great comparison, the mini to the Renault 5, what more value for money the mini is for same money, lease the deal NOT TGE CAR! very very wise words mate 👍 🎉
Thank you
Thanks, the Ipace is a beautiful car and lovely to drive, but long in the tooth and it is a Jaguar so expect reliability problems, if you really want one, I would wait, they will almost be giving them away soon.
I nearly bought one new, cash, but the model I wanted at over £60K did not have heated seats, so Mrs said no, a good result.
👍
Just test drove a Spring 65. That aren't as slow as people say. Drives like a Hyundai I10 but quicker.
👌
Hi Jim. Love your content first and foremost. I am currently seeking a car to buy via lease and do quite a lot of motorway miles. With all the tax changes due in April and all the manufacturers shying away from producing any diesel engines, what would you suggest are the motors to target considering my circumstances? I believe some petrol engines are almost as efficient as some diesel engines.
Yeah, loads of great petrol options around still. Would need to book a call via the website really mate as there are lots of variables to discuss 👍
Hi Jim
Can i ask, do the monthly prices include the road tax (they did when i looked a couple of years ago) and do they also include the luxury car tax on top for the duration of the lease?
They always do but the devil is in the detail - things like future tax changes and now often written into the contract so if the tax goes up you will be charged. If you were to factory order a +£40k EV now and it's not registared until April you can probably expect the lease company to pass it on to you so it is VITAL that you chat about this with the broker to make sure you fully understand the terms of the specific deal you;re being offered as it might vary from your last one.
Dacia should come with full face balaclava
😁
Two things for that BMW iX - BMW dealers are moving over to an agency model rather than sales and have to divest themselves of stock and also the facelifted iX has just gone in sale with a slightly improved front view (just a tiny bit less beaver toothed!)
But look at the price difference!! Is that mild facelift worth paying full price for??
Some great deals in there jim
👍👍👍
Toyota’s bZ4X is missing a heat pump as standard, which would improve winter efficiency. Cold weather range could be enhanced with this energy-saving feature, making it a stronger choice for harsh climates. #WinterPerformance #EVTech
Yes
👍👍👍👍
👍👍👍
Thanks for the info, very valuable, I presume we have to add and pay car tax from next April + as that will not be factored into the lease cost now for EV’s?
You'd have to check with the broker but I'm guessing all will factor it in to their pricing now, or there will be something in the contract to allow for the future price adjustment
Varies by company/broker. I’ve been on a 3 year lease that ends in October and have been told I will have to pay extra monthly for the remainder of the lease. Probably already factored in on new quotes though.
@@ISuperTed Not sure why you would have to pay extra between April and October? Presumably the lease company will have taxed it for 12 months last October when it was zero rated so your car will be taxed until the end of the lease? Martin Lewis has something about this on his MSE website where you can delay paying the new amount by taxing the ev in March regardless of whether it is due or not and you then get 12 months grace effectively at zero rated. I could be wrong though! 😀
Audi, BMW, Citroen, Ford, Mini, NIssan, Seat & Vauxhall all had poor Jan sales according to the latest SMMT figures, could there be better deals on the horizon?
Maybe
Interesting in the news.........The proposed merger between Nissan and Honda to make it the world’s third largest carmaker appears to have stalled with reports claiming Honda proposed instead turning Nissan into a ‘fully owned subsidiary’
Yes, seems Nissan are struggling in a very big way
I think if you are in the market for a Dacia Spring, it makes sense to buy it... and keep it... Don't even look at selling it for 5 to 10 years.
Or seek medical advice and get a used i3 / ID3 / eUp / Mii and save yourself a few quid.
A spring no thank you !
Dacia still haven’t put the new Spring through EuroNCAP have they so,it gets the crappy result and I wouldn’t let my family drive it. I had a refund of deposit when I realised that.
Can you do a commmetial EV episode
It’s not likely I’m afraid mate
I have owned a nissan leaf for 2.5 years from new, I am doing 18000 miles a year, but insurance has gone up ridiculously after I reached 70 yrs old , with no claims and full no claim discount , I am currently paying over £800, 2 years ago the price was £350, any ideas for cheaper insurance?
Just shop around really 👍
@@grahambate1567 everyone’s insurance has gone up massively over last 2 years
Ive got the option of doing salary sacrifice on a lease car through my NHS employer. Would I be stupid not to do an electric car lease?
Definitely do it. My wife got an ID3 through a salary sacrifice through the NHS. It includes everything, business insurance, maintenance, breakdown cover and no upfront cost. I think it was around £274 a month, which is a lot cheaper than buying a leased car and everything separately.
You can get some great deals that way if the scheme is a good one 👍
@djwingy230 Funny enough ID3 has just come up, but I'm looking at Kia EV3.
Vauxhall Grandland ultimate at 370 a month. What am I missing? Is it rubbish?
It’s bang average - you could do better with that budget for sure
Went to get the e-208 for my wife at advertised 36mth/8k ~£265
Company quickly said none left in that colour but could do another colour for inflated price and tried pushing maintenance, decline both and said let me know if you can do original order, said all gone. They are still advertising at £265 and cannot supply, poor show trying to pull people in and then push up price!
Good videos from you though, everyone just needs to watch companies basically false advertising cars at prices they cannot supply.
Was it ‘Leasing Options’ by any chance?
It’s a stupid practice as they have to pay the comparison sites for the leads.
@@DefinitelyNotAGuruNo, it was VIP Gateway
@@1984swany OK, I'll report it to LeaseLoco if it's still live
