I think you are really on to something here. I can't prove it but I think UA-cam throttles youtube channels that have ....
A} used UA-cam ads to promote their content so they continue to use UA-cam ads. I am convinced that this has happened to my channel.
B} If you mix the content up on your UA-cam channel like if you have marketing videos, beat-making videos and beat videos youtube doesn't seem to like this all on one channel.
C} Channels with dead or old subscribers. My channel is old so I'm not sure that those subscribers have the same interests as they once had, but my channel is getting penalized by the algorithm because I'm making content that never gets exposed to newer audiences.
If I put £1000 behind one my new beats it will get a thousands of views likes and shares proving that the content is good.
Yea man over these past few months UA-cam has been undergoing an unexplainable change in which channels it decides to give exposure. There are a number of reasons why this is happening but it's best just to be aware of what's going on and make the necessary changes in order to survive and grow or else you'll get left behind.

Doesn’t that cause confusion and people dming your accounts saying “another producer stole your beat” etc?
It's happened once. That is a disadvantage of this method but the advantages are worth the opportunity
