I believe I had a messed up install of the latest OTA update. Lots of emulator started crashing on there going to give this a shot and if it’s not broke, don’t update it. The problem with the updater is that it never tells you when it’s gone, I’ve left my device overnight and it still says updating. So I am afraid after an hour or so of letting him sit, I restarted it in the middle of the installation. But I agree, Ayn should release all of their firmware like they did with the original Odin
I am working on ripping their OS or at least some of them so we can revert back if need be. It's not hard, just a long process probably why they only supplied us with the one. I still play all of my games on 208 despite the bugs it has like the annoying navigation bar not pulling down properly or Desktop mode causing the device to crash. They need to work on their OS for this device because I've concluded again recently it has so much more power than we all may think.

I don't mind about the earlier version - the only thing I really cared about was the addition of the Swap file by Ayn themselves, but I can still run a script as root to access extra swap memory for switch emulation. Currently copying my app data folders over to SD so I can refresh this as im finding even android games like COD Mobile crash at boot. Something is messed up and this should be a solid reset.
@@mrapter7 this is why I shared a Rooting Method to play COD Mobile because there's still to this day so many that complain about Ayn's latest update so I'm over here trying to deep dive into how their apps work and fix their OS. I even wrote a raw application that writes chmod666 commands to edit configurations but I cannot for the life of me find things like rotating the display etc still.
Yes but all Ayn did was take what I told them then added the hot fix with the Play Integrity Fix and integrated it because technically the Odin is already root ready. Hopefully they just fix their OS or I figure out a workaround.
I've tried this process numerous times and it fails to download everytime. I have tried a few different USB C cables and followed your instructions. Anything else I might be missing? It says"Download Fail: Sahara Fail:QSaharaserver Fail: Process fail"
@dannymfntanner when does this happen? When you're backing up the init_boot image? It sounds like your drivers aren't up to date or there's something wrong with your usb c cable. Those are the only times I've ever had this happen.
Watch the first video about what it's about as I stated why you want to downgrade to this version as Ayn messed up a pretty sick feature that Drastic has in it!
im fine on 296...dont see the need to unroot to update. i dont emulate on winlator so the fix doesnt really affect me... im probably done now...what i already play runs fine.
im locked out of my odin 2 and have no way to get into it. I use the same password for everything and its not working at all. I have no idea what to do. I want to factory reset it. But when i go into recovery mode nothing is working. Can someone please help me. My boyfriend got this for me for our anniversary and its breaking my heart i cant even get into it now
You'll need to use QFIL to flash the stock firmware of the Odin 2. I don't know what you mean by you're locked out as that could mean anything. Did you forget your password for your lock screen? Did you forget your password for Google and it won't allow you to do anything? Do you have another Android device to login to Google and remove the Odin 2 from your list of devices? So many un answered questions to consider however the best option is to use QFIL and flash the stock firmware on their Discord.
@@DNAMobileGaming I’m sorry i figured out my password. I was locked out because like the dummy I was I accidentally used a different number than I normally do. So I removed my password on it in general
No I also stated this in the description don't do this with the Mini I'm still trying to dive into what is causing this but hoping Ayn just fixes it. This is the only device/handheld I own that has this issue and it's sort of annoying.

Will this mess with the updates that prevent you from getting banned plating COD Mobile?

After Ive done this, im unable to update to the latest firmware using the updater. It keeps on stucking at Downloading please wait. Any solution?
Restart your device and try again, their servers are kind of garbage. I waited for almost an hour once for it to actually install an update.

I found a reddit post that disabling firewall/antivirus might help. Same issue unfortunately though

That sucks for people with an odin that they have to downgrade their firmware to be able to play drastic emu, will ayn not fix this in an update?
I am on the latest firmware and have absolutly zero issues playing DS games with drastic. I honestly don't understand what this is about.

@@NukeBomB3000I also have no issues. But if you want to run a secondary display using Drastic you would need to do this.
My qfil is always stuck at 47,73% and stays stuck like after clicking download, all steps have been made correctly.
Check your USB C cable never had this issue sounds like a problem with the cable itself or you missed something.

Well this isn't for Winlator it's for Drastic DS emulation. I've had a lot ask me how to do this too so here it is.

No there isn't you need QFIL to do this.
