SR 2.0 was making 3500+ I believe, (same engine etc going into 3.0). Eagle is going to make probably north of 5400 hp due to having a solid fuel line that won’t collapse (referring to the fuel tech 5300hp video).

That car has some extremely large shoes to fill. I have full faith in the owner to make it the fastest it can be. The guys attention to detail and the way he runs his program is goals for any racer. I hope brings him lots of fun and many wins. #GotDatFordMotaInIt.
There is a reason this guy is and stays on top. Brett is singularly focused on doing one thing as well as it can be done, one car, testing, tuning, winning. There is nothing else that he cares about. That is why the youtube celebs will lose to this guy, because that isn't their game, they are too busy with multiple irons in the fire.
Devin Vanderhoof rebuild his car to make it lighter also. He will be a tough one for Brett to beat, since he hasn't been able to beat him yet! I like Brett, but Devin is a badass!
100%. I love Garrett as an awesome entertainer but he himself would admit that he is not a full time dedicated drag racer like Brett. I honestly don’t know how Garrett is going to make his new build work. A car like that takes a TON of time testing, adjusting, repairing and maintenance. I don’t think he knows what he doesn’t know but time will tell.

Had zero to do with 1 piece front end, and everything to do with Ford Coyote basically stock block, heads, crank taking down super billet race only i off big blocks with million invested.....it hurts

I like how those factory strut tower and front frame rail skins snuck back in there over the chassis tubes. Now it’s backhalf again and not a promod haha
It definitely makes sense building new cars - same with Cleetus and Eagle. Seems the last while now there's been a lot of salt regarding class definitions at different events and whatnot. If you're already pushing the limits of what the car can handle AND at risk of getting pushed into a faster class you stand no chance in, just built the faster car. It's definitely going to be fun to watch the batch of cars being built right now all racing this season.
Between snotrocket3.0, Eagle, the car KSR is building for Val Morris (smx), Boostmaster, Tom Baily's car, etc - there's gonna be some youtuber battles going on. 😂

Maybe you can be first to best Tom Bailey’s 5 second drag and drive pass. There are a few 5 capable cars now but it seems it’s very hard to get in the 5s on the drag and drive.

It's funny seeing Brett's, Cleeter's, and Steve's cars all coming together around the same time, and very well-documented for all of us to see, and seeing just how similar they are under the shell. Very cool stuff and some absolutely stunning work by all of the fabricators, an builders involved. That said, I wonder where the next real innovation in this type of racing is going to come from? These are all incredible works of engineering, fabrication, and tuning...but they are all basically the same formula. Make it light, add 1 part displacement, and 1 or 2 parts forced induction. Spice with laughing gas to personal taste. Wrap it all with a metric pantload of money. That's not a knock on these cars, their build/race/ownership/sponsor teams at all. Far from it! It works and works great But what's next for combustion engine drag racing? We're coming to a point where it feels like the incremental gains are in the thousandths of seconds and the only innovation is how to manipulate which classes your car qualifies for. I love this shit, but like Brett with this build...when you're on the highest mountain top, you have to be looking up at the stars and not the next mountain over.
that's how racing has been for like 50 years - you find what works and make the most out of it, it just so happens everyone has come to the same conclusion on a lot of things, the main one here being safety
Lightness has always been the key in the power to weight ratio game. Second to that (in these drag cars) is chassis control, and that's where the suspension engineering and then race to race tuning comes into play. As Steve Morris says, even in his wagon he has never *had* to dial his engine all the way up to hit the limits of what a track could take (or conversely, what his car could transfer to the track). And, as Tom Bailey is finding more and more, keeping on top of inspection and maintenance to catch little issues before they rip your car in half is also a key to getting your car to the end of a competition. So the hard part about competing at this level is that you have to do *everything* well.

Need to have the steering column modified to be adjustable like Garrett's new race car... That was a brilliant idea.
