- MPGomatic.com puts a 2011 Kia Sorento SX FWD to a 300+ mile test drive. [ Full Review: www.mpgomatic.c...] The Sorento SX is fitted with a 3.5-liter V6 engine that produces 276 horsepower (HP) and 248 foot pounds of torque. Kia's top-of-the-line three-row crossover competes handsomely with a host of more expensive SUVs.
MPGomatic produces car reviews videos with a unique focus on gas mileage, in-cabin technology, and driveability. Yep, we're the folks that shoot those 0-60 MPH tests.

Is it just me, or are these the best car reviews on youtube!!!
@flatblackstrat Y'know ... UVO isn't listed on the window sticker and I don't recall seeing any badges. Perhaps they're rolling it out later in the model year?
Did you check out the tire pressure to make sure they weren't set to 40psi? ;)
I like the new styling direction of Kia to a point. It is better than anything else they have ever produced. I'm still not liking their interiors though. And that little monochrome LCD is kinda low end on a car that costs this much. This car does seem to have a few creature comforts that make it appealing though like the ridiculously awesome amount of DC ports.
Did this car have UVO on in Dan? If so what did you think of it compared to Sync?
@thecarexpert21 I wouldn't say always, but definitely more often then not. As @flatblackstrat mentioned, we don't get to specify trim levels.
@scotsmaninusa Thanks! The off-road Grand Cherokee video was a one-off piece that I shot at a media event last fall. I just had a GC here for a week and I will be posting a full review (complete with MPGs!) in the next couple of weeks. (I'm backlogged!)
Nice review, as usual! All these new Kia's are really stepping up their game. I like it, and I usually hate Korean cars. :D
@BlazerLT Heh, nope. Might need to make that a standard practice, eh?
@thecarexpert21 He doesn't. Recently they may be so though. He gets whatever he is given, he doesn't get to choose what they drop off, it's the same for most reviewers. Also I suppose on some of these more budget oriented cars they would like to show off as many options as possible to assure people they are getting just as much if not more from them, as they would from the big guys like Ford and Toyota.
@mpgomatic Yeah I guess you're right. I didn't see it on their homepage either.
This or grand cherokee?
looks decent very good review
why do you always to the top of the line trim? Not that it bothers me or anything.
@scotsmaninusa Nice! Not to spoil it, but everyone here loved the GC. Would be awesome with a turbo-diesel, but the Pentastar V6 is FlexFuel, and that's a cool thing. Time to buy that still for the shed! ;)
I HOPE Mom makes it to soccer practice. lol no excuse
@45barber1 2011 grand cherokee
That was so sexist lol
“Mom might make it to soccer practice just in time” and why all the mom references? Can a guy buy this car? Or is it a mom car only?
