Geoff is an entertainer. Every topic he talks about, he finds a way to insert a self-promotion of his businesses. Every time he refers to "the hobby" I get annoyed because it's a business for him, not a hobby. He's using these negative stories and spins to promote his products. I get it and let him do his thing. But I don't put any stock into what he says because he has his own angle.
I have SERIOUS questions about the authenticity of Geoff. After watching just a few of his videos, I've already heard him mispronounce the names of Red Sox legend, Luis Tiant and Nuggets legend, Fat Lever. How can we take someone seriously, as an "expert", when he doesn't even know how to pronounce the names of some of the greats of the games?
Now it will be widespread. It's been going on for decades and I only heard of it in recent years. I would never juice and don't want juiced cards. Eventually graded vintage should crash because that's been the main target of juicers fir decades. Kurt is only one juice maker and now there's a formula for others. The damage is going to be felt. I'm surprised PSA doesn't sue Kurt for the damage it will do to the brand. NO restoration is permanent. Geoff sells FOMO for both buying and selling. He's not genuine he is a disconnected businessman trying to be like ken goldin.
Regarding the psa/ebay data sharing, totally agree that flagging certs would be a great add. Great for buyers, but also sellers. Having talked with set registry accounts with deactivated certs, PSA rarely even notifies the owner when deactivating a cert. Crazy
I’m not a fan of ol Geof think he is a hack and all about the money BUT you calling anyone “negative” is quite funny. The majority of your content is directed toward negative aspects of the hobby. I’ve stopped watching all your videos because of the constant negative content. Guess just like your point about Geoff pivoting to get more views you’ll continue to be a “negative Nelly” to keep those views up!
As I said in the comments when you were on Jeremy Lee’s show, I feel like Kurt doesn’t have any motivation to find out if the cleaning process ultimately damages the card because a negative answer to that question puts him out of business. I’m sure he’s aware of Orlando’s card and deep down knows that a surface cleaning or a single soaking is not going to remove any substance that has seeped deep into the cardboard.
@ I have plenty of critical thinking skills but nice try. Every time I watch one of these videos he focuses on the negatives of the hobby. If you don’t see that then you have no brain at all.
@ you have no idea who I am and if you don’t see that all this person does is focus on negative stories about the hobby than it’s in fact you that has no critical thinking skills you judgmental clown. Maybe sit down and critically think about that
Once the flack came down on Geoff that he was soliciting investment advice, he had to change course quickly and now does these BS bits to try and stay relevant. You know he doesn't believe in any of it.
Geoff is a hack, he will say anything for cash. Some people live by certain values and go through life being a solid human. I say this all the time, he could have done so much more with his platform. But him and that TPot fella have to keep the cash rolling in.
How cool would it be if you could go to the manufacturers website, find a card on a checklist, and see a scan of the front and back of every serial numbered card, along with the grade of the card every time one of the major grading companies graded the card? Why aren’t the companies working together to do this?
The main reason we spend a premium for higher grades is the fact that it came like that originally from a pack, and more importantly, it was preserved in that condition for however long. Fixing damaged cards completely disregards that aspect of what makes a Psa 10 a 10. Cleaning shouldn’t be a thing, or at the bare minimum it should be disclosed to buyers
The quality of psa cases is in need of a major improvement, especially for high value cards, why is psa still giving out no uv protected ugly cases?for the market of cards that aren’t high value, they dont need grading… the majority of cards being sent for grading dont really need grading

What about the psa employees who have to handle the cards and any possible risk to thier health from long term exposure while handling it. People thought mercury safe, asbestos, ddt, etc.... although these products at the far extreme, they were originally thought safe.
As I have said before, those chemicals that are being used are basically a mix of rubbing alcohol and window cleaner. They have been used on cards for over 40 years and have been used on graded cards since PSA became a thing. IF there was an issue with these hurting cards over time then we would see a mountain of graded cards that have surface issues that would be noticeable. You are better than the fearmongering about using them. Personally, I think soaking is more of an issue then using rubbing alcohol or window cleaner.
I just breathe on a card to deliver a very slight mist of distilled water (even tap water can be harsh and you might spill too much). Then I wipe off dust and loose debris with a microfiber.. I do this for PC cards, whether I send them off for grading or not. Is Kurt's alcohol-based juice more effective than this? I assume he uses alcohol as his main ingredient because it evaporates very quickly and apparently doesn't leave a smelly residue. But neither does my breath. (Cue the bad-breath jokes)
