The reason they put flashlights on these type of batts is for when you are in pitch black you can have an easier time to plug in the device you need to charge without fumbling.

Seems a lot lighter than a PRC-77 battery. I usually use an Anker 20,000 and keep it in a Loksac.

500 cycles is kinda of low from the Dark Energy. (old battery tech) Using packs with LiFePO4 batteries your looking at about 5000 cycles. (so you pay double for a LiFePO4 rugged battery, but get 10x the life of this).

I looked at a LiFePO4 rugged battery, they seem cool, but they look about 4x the size of the Dark Energy?

@@DamienNeverwinter 2nd time my reply didnt post. Here we go again..
You can get 18650 or larger 21700 Lifepo4 batteries and a DIY power bank box kit, just make sure the kits are good for LifePo4/LiIon batteies. You just have to figure the voltage output you want and how many batteries you want in the kit for the size kit your trying for. They sell them at battery or electronic stores.
(an cheap example would be getting 2x - 1000mha to 9900mha LifePo4 18650 batteries, and an something like an XTAR PB no capacity power bank. And still be below $30. Best part those 18650 LifePo4 batteries is thats whats in most tactical flashlights.)

Forgot to add, my friend has a LifePo4 batteries kit he travels with. Its the EXP48Pro. Its 153.6 WH, which makes it TSA compliant (160WH max allowed), it outputs 12.8 Amp Hours (Ah) @12V or 48,000 MilliAmp Hours (mAh), its solar panel ready, has 3 usb and 12v cigarette plug, has a 5yr warranty, and a 5000+ charge cycle, IP65, and is only 6"Lx8.2"Dx1.6"H. And comes in around $370.
(and if you look up standard LiIon batteries, they are getting more like 150-300 cycles in the real world while most LifePo4 are exceeding 5000 cycles).

Neat! I like seeing more portable energy source systems, gonna have to look into getting one of those rolling or folding Solar panel sets too.

I got a nice 60 watt collapsible panel for like 70 bucks. 👍

I’ve had mine for a few years now still going strong although the flip lid on the charge ports broke after a year or so I just cover with tape and it’s good to go still love it regardless tough as nails

The flip lid will break off pretty soon but the battery still holds charges after 2 years now. Ive had it in extreme heat and cold.

I have some that are similar from different companies my battery packs have solar panels built into one side we had some really nasty weather come through Tennessee the beginning of this week and I was without power for 48 hours because of preps like this it was only a minor inconvenience

1 week holding a charge sounds like a pretty bad phantom load. Durability/weather proofness looks good though.

Get some USB C to DC 5.5mm x 2.5mm power delivery cables and you can charge all kinds of shit off of the battery pack that normally needs a wall wart.

Curious, what is the manufacturer of he rolled up solar panel you are using? Nevermind, I should have waited to finish the video lol, my mistake.

Failure to hold a charge after one week is a complete non-starter for me. 99% garbage.

Dudes going 0-100 on the guntuber route. Start a channel, gain some followers, start reviewing merch that’s applicable, then sponsors that aren’t so applicable, then he goes straight to training. Not that that’s a bad thing, capitalize by all means, MERICA, just surprised he already has a training outfit. Usually takes longer.

Hey man, if I could afford those classes I plan to. But, I do my own. Just like to get some “official” from an outfit nearby. Classes ain’t cheap though. Just saying you’re getting on it YT wise. I respect it

""The black one"" OMG your such a racist 😅
Seriously though I'm a fan of the light even though I'd rarely ever use it because its inferior to my other lighting options but it is definitely value added.
