Hey, I am kinda glad you started over, I love this base idea I am in the desert now, I have a few questions.. How do I know when it time to go to the next area? I have seen other creators making videos about better drops. I am also having a hard time getting t3 quests and I am on day 84 now. I feel like I have not done a good job, is there any reason for me to start over? or should I just keep plugging away on my play though? This is my 1st so yea, I am kinda bad, I didnt start the quests soon enough and I stayed in Pine Forest WAY too long. Also is it just my lack of progress, or do the experience points kinda suck. I feel like you need Vehicles, it seems important but my points are already to spread out..
You may wanna start over. And choose a weapon you want as your main. Like for instance if you wanna be using machine guns mainly focus on that group first without doing others it will help. Depending on perk placements it affects what books you find. So if i had points in shotgun machinegun and snipers. I have a equal chance to find a related magazine to one of those. But if its just one weapon type i have a higher chance. That goes for all books. Gun books have higher chance in shotgun messiah crates or stores. Likewise the homecooking weekly has higher chance in kitchen type cupboards. There is a item that lets you reset your perks. Its called Granpas ferggettin elixir
I think the coding for the game goes like this. Start in pine forest, do 10 tier 1 quests, opens next trader. Go to burnt forest. Do 10 tier 2 quests. Opens next trader and so on. But you can just go to any biome you want really. It’s just harder with low level gear and weapons. You don’t want to go to the wasteland without legendary tier gear and weapons with no mods. But yea, the loot gets better the more skulls you have. A lot of times I skip pine forest and go directly to desert for better loot after I finish the introduction quests. Not very many high level skulls in lower tiered biomes. Think of the skulls as weapon level. If you match your weapon level with the skull, you should be met with an average fight. If you have lower weapon level than the skulls in the POI, it is still manageable, but much more difficult. Play to your character strengths. Don’t have a vehicle, put skills into cardio. Having trouble with hunger, put points into home cooking or animal tracking. Need material real quick, add points to miner 69er. Don’t try to build your character instantly for end game. Eventually you’ll be a high enough level that you’ll come across the elixir. Drink it and reset your skills to then create your end game character.
I messed around for ages in the Forest Biome before venturing further afield. Loved every minute ( even dying a lot ) but realised my skills all needed a reset when I got to the point where I didn't need Iron Gut, Hunting animals, pack mule etc etc. I used Grandpa's Forgetting Elixir. With LVL 6 Enforcer glasses, Cigar mod and 44 Magnum drawn ( wish I could shoot Rekt..) I think the Elixir is around 3.2K dukes. No brainer. Just cleared Higashi in the Wasteland the other night. Wow, that was intense.
The Auger is slower then just using a Tier 6 Steel Pickaxe. if you max miner 69er you can destroy those blocks in one to two hits while the Auger takes 6 hits.
I really think you need to use the dev tools when making the videos, the digger one-shot destroys the blocks but you've been using an auger in this vid. The same goes for toggling on and off (* on the numpad) the zombie AI during these vids when you're constructing rather than stopping your build to fight them off.
@@lightning_gaming-tipsspeaking of that, someone told me if you actually plug in a keyboard and mouse into your PS5, you can access the dev tools. Not sure how true this is. Haven’t tried it myself yet.
