- To make up for a teaching shortage, a Minnesota school is bringing in educators from halfway around the world. This year, Willmar Public Schools has teachers from the Philippines and Nicaragua.
Where is the story behind WHY there is a lack of applicants? Some balanced piece this is.
At least 4 or more excellent teacher's contracts were not renewed to avoid union tenure. John, did you ask how many teachers were fired to lower the school's budget, or was this to be a feel-good story?
This is happening all over the US. If you search there are similar videos of Felipino teachers recruited to teach in Alaska and many other states.
This has become widespread in the US. Thousands of Felipino teachers are working this program in dozens of states.
Why don't we pay teachers as the professionals they are instead of outsourcing teachers. This program is rediculous. Were I a parent in that community I would complain like hell. I can't believe the HR employee is trying to spin this as though it's a great solution to the root problem.
This is heartbreaking.
Hope their up on the lastest CRT and LBGQT training we're giving our children now!
The USA has fallen, the tail now wags the dog, with no bite.
