*Three Days in Kosciuszko National Park: An Unforgettable Trek*

We -Ros, Niha, and AJ-embarked on a challenging yet rewarding three-day trek in Kosciuszko National Park. Covering approximately 39 km, our journey took us through some of Australia's most stunning alpine scenery, including summiting Mount Kosciuszko, the highest peak in the country.

*Day 1: Sydney to Guthega Village and Base Camp*
The adventure began with a 509-km drive from Sydney to Guthega Village, nestled in the heart of Kosciuszko National Park. Upon arrival, the trio set out on a 6-kilometer hike to our first campsite at the base of Mount Twynam. The day's journey ended with setting up camp and preparing for the challenges ahead.
*Day 2: Mount Twynam to Seaman's Hut via Mount Kosciuszko*
On the second day, we woke up early, quickly prepared breakfast, and packed up our gear for a 17-kilometer trek. They ascended Mount Twynam, Australia's second-highest peak, before crossing Carruthers Pass. The route along the Main Range Track and Northcote Pass led us to the summit of Mount Kosciuszko. After savouring the breathtaking views from the highest point in Australia, we descended to Seaman's Hut. Here, we set up camp, cooked dinner inside the hut, and enjoyed the warmth of a fire.
*Day 3: Seaman's Hut to Guthega Village via Charlotte Pass*
The final day greeted us with clear skies and a bright, warm sunrise. We embarked on our 17-km trek via Charlotte Pass, following the track along the banks of the Snowy River back to Guthega Village. The return journey was filled with stunning landscapes and reflective conversations. After reaching Guthega Village, we packed up and drove back to Sydney, taking a scenic route through Canberra, the capital city of Australia.
This three-day trek through Kosciuszko National Park was a testament to the beauty and grandeur of Australia's alpine region. The journey left us with unforgettable memories and a deeper appreciation for the natural world.
