Being a youngster hanging around Brunswick Studios I got a chance to see The Genius of Barbara Acklin up close and personal more importantly I got a chance to produce and orchestrate one of her last compositions "Havent I Heard that Line Before" performed by the great Gene Chandler in a duet with Miss Shawn Christopher THANK you Barbara for all your contributions to not only the music Community here in Chicago but the world
Barbara Acklin was so amazing. She was I was so sister in the '60s and the '70s. Her songs and signature where you know it's her touch it's got her flavor. Rest in peace sister. Yes keep her spirit alive!!!
Barbara’s music never went under the radar to many of us here in the Uk. Still gives me goosebumps hearing that voice. Love makes a woman. Listening to it earlier today. It just gets better. Greetings from UK
