Do you have any issues with the pickups being microphonic?
I do not. They have been really nice actually.
That looks and sounds great Ben! I love the fact it is a hardtail. I've always had good luck with Sweetwater, the only weakness when buying from them has been FedEx. My sales rep Jacob has always been a big help and chased things down with FedEx from his end.
Thanks man, she's a keeper. Yeah, that would be my only complaint as well. This vid was for later, but I hurt my right hand, so had to dig in to things ready to go. Glad I have a few. Can't do much for a few weeks.
@@benpowersguitar thats not good. I hope it gets better real soon.
I think I'm making progress with my PC. Looks like it might be the audio interface. Figured that as a possibility after my last IG message
Managed to create a video that is uploading now with the interface disconnected. Watching this vid sent me in the right direction as I connected audio to listen and it shut my PC down when I did anything with video.
@@ccjmusic Thanks, it sucks. Glad you got it figured out.
@@benpowersguitar I had a problem with my left shoulder a few months ago and couldn't play for a while either. Yes, it sucks for sure.
I'm hoping I have found the root cause, but I still need to add stuff back in to get my PC back to fully working, so can't be sure yet.
I’m just getting back into playing I play a mix of Black/Thrash and this guitar looks beautiful. I have a set of black winters I’m planning on putting in it. This review convinced me for a 300$ guitar it’s worth it
It's a fun guitar. I have heard the Black Winters, they are going to sound killer in this guitar.
@@benpowersguitar awesome I’m excited to get my hands on this guitar lol
@@joshwolf5377 They are putting out a black one this year as well.
@@benpowersguitar I think I saw it on zzounds for pre order the black with chrome pickups it’s a nice looking one too but there’s something about this finish lol especially at the price range
@@joshwolf5377 And it looks better in person. Love this finish.
Winner, Winner , Chicken Dinner!
Hello Ben, Are your saddle screws sticking up on your GRG121SP? Thanks!🙏
Not really. The Low E & A have a single thread that can be felt if you run a finger over them, but you have to really try to feel them, nothing I can feel when playing and I have the action really low.
@@benpowersguitar Thanks, Ben.🙏
Wow beauyful Guitar 🎸 great TONE 🔥 well done my Friend 👍
Thanks Fabio. Yeah, she's a keeper.

Hello Ben, I would like to ask for advice on my guitar purchase. I am currently stuck between the Jackson dinky js32, the schecter demon 6 fr and an Ibanez RG. I have not tried any of the brands before. I usually play a variety of styles ranging from clean with some reverb to rock and a bit of metal.
Love the content also recommend perhaps having more versus videos. For example a blind tone challenge between 2-3 different guitars or perhaps a blind tone challenge of different pickups on the same guitar. A few how-to's or playing tips in the form of shorts can also serve as great content.
Hey Steve, thanks for watching. The Schecter and Ibanez both have better Trems than the Jackson. I think the Ibanez has the best overall pups, Schecter close 2nd, then Jackson. The Schecter has a more Strat (standard) feeling neck. The Ibz & JS32 are very slim and flatter. Also, they all very different fretboard radius', the Jackson having a compound radius, which I don't care for. You can't go wrong with an RG or Demon, in my opinion, though I prefer Ibanez RG out of the 3. Ibanez has the better switching options as well.
Thats one cool looking guitar and u did an awesome review Ben!
Thanks man. I was surprised how good it looks and plays.
Sweetwater is the best
Agreed. Thanks for watching.
♥ I am here to support and express my compliments for this what you do!
Thank you so much Melani. I hope things are good with you my friend.
Great demo Ben, that was awesome man 😀🤘🎵🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thanks Adam. I hope you're having a great week.
Frets look clean, fingerboard doesn't look dried out or pale like many cheap guitars.
It's been great! I really like.
