Our winter escape is usually skiing in the mountains of Hokkaido. I love skiing, but sometimes we go to Honolulu in Hawaii, where the winters are a pleasant 25 degrees (celsius), the skies are blue, and the air is clean and smells of flowers. But I envy your adventures in Scotland.

Well most countries have their own treasures to offer I guess. Scotland is beautiful but for me it's mainly the space you get in the vast area of Highlands. On some routes you don't see anybody for days. Cheers.

@@jonashubalekwhiskyandthewild If you ever make it to the Isle of Mull, my family built a home there in the 19th century, it’s still there today. You might think of Japan as a crowded place, as it has some 125 million people. But most of the country is mountains and forest. I like bikepacking as it gives me a chance to get out of the city.

Thank you. They are mother and daughter, and very different but yes they love each other. It was Gold Hunters from James Oliver Curwood in Czech translation. Fitted beautifully to the environment🙂
