Dear lord, I love this man. Implausibly talented, wise, kind, generous of heart, and he plays with feel and pocket like I’ve never heard - even at a billion beats per minute. He’s a gift to all of us. I’m not a religious man, but to hear him behind a kit is transcendent for me, and I thank god for JC. ✊❤️
He's definitely right about him and his band members being in a good space right now. I've seen them live a few times, and the show I saw in 2023 was easily their best performance. Billy, Jimmy and James were all relaxed, cracking jokes and having a great time, and Jimmy played a couple of drum solos that were mind-blowing, especially the one during Ava Adore.
Thank you so much for this. Jimmy has rock god talents but is so humble and gracious. I was lucky enough to meet him in person at a drum clinic and he was so generous with his time. SP's music is part of my soul, JC complex and Zwan too. I love that they keep releasing such amazing music to this day, they must have 100s of songs, all amazing ❤ 🎃 xx
God broke the mould when he/she/they gave us Jimmy Chamberlin. A monumental kudos to Modern Drummer to recognizing the enormity of his talent and indelible mark he’s made on drumming.
I got into pumpkins around 05'. UA-cam just came out. And i already learned bass, drums, guitar. And id watch jimmy over. Then play to the record and wasnt playing it right..but i kept doing it over and over until i could. At the time id play to full albums on both guitar and drums.😂 had to ride 1.5 miles to library print 50 pages of tabs, ride home and just did it over and over. Technique was foreign and i didnt know names and such. So when i got into Jojo mayer andwas floored i got his dvd and realized..."oh,shit that's what ita called" i just naturally did it thru albums apon albums
If you dont get Orestes Morfin from Bitch Magnet on here.....its a damn shame! Listen to the Umber album, one of the best DRUM rock records ever.....He was a huge influence of Jimmy Chanberlin....
My personal favorite drummer. One of the best.
Jimmy you’re a goddamn genuine inspiration
Jimmy's solo work is incredible.
💯
I could listen to Jimmy talk about drum stuff all day. What an awesome interview.
Love Chamberlain..One of my faves...Tones to die for..
My respect for Jimmy has grown over time as I've learned more about his story. Thanks for sharing with us.

Love listening to Jimmy.
So much wisdom in this conversation!
Great interview. Jimmy’s so dialled in and articulate.
Best modern rock drummer in my humble opinion. Listen closely to some of the early tracks on Gish, and maybe I can convince you too.
He is such an inspiration. Thank you, Jimmy Chamberlin

I remember charlie adams talking about knowing jimmy at a clinic in ky on 1996. We were all blown away by his playing, it was incredible.
Five callers ahead of you Jimmy!
I am SO grateful my dad and mom. I never had a kid songs...we had bruce springsteen, the beatles, aerosmith 80s/90s pop.

Greaaat!!
Are you posting some of him playing too??
Hopefully the new rundown will have at least some of him playing!
@@hoe2785 Hope its less spastically edited than the last one.
JIMMYYYYYYYY
The shock the interviewer expresses when Chamblerin says it was his SISTER who educated him with her knowledge of drum specifics.
Like, how could that possibly be? 🙄
Oh oh, here come the unicorns aka thought police

Jimmy would make a perfect Don Draper.
Thanks for the great conversation. Please stop "bleeping" common words exchanged between two adults.
JP & the Cats
St Joes Park on Sundays
I wish Jimmy would still play without a click track.
It feels/sounds better that way.
Which Tony album were they talking about?
I believe it's Believe It (1975)
Daver!!
How many siblings does he have 👀
0:49 five
You could have interviewed (a) god and it wouldn't have been half as interesting as this...
