Yea, doesn’t this give vendors the upper hand and leave customers at a disadvantage? I made a video about this too and haven’t purchased any miniGT or kaidos because of this. Not really a chase if it’s not random.
exactly, this is what those scummy resellers have been doing this WHOLE TIME! I treat my chase as such where you guys should get it randomly so it will be randomly inserted into orders. As mentioned in this video: ua-cam.com/video/goE-rBKcEaU/v-deo.html
@@modelcarshouston that's how everyone should treat sealed boxes, but yeah...not in this world 😂. Can always dump the box in a tote and move them around to scramble them. But I think many of us long time mch fans trust your process anyways.
I'm not 100% sure. They say that in the sealed box of 24 pieces the chase is located on the top right while the silverados are located on the bottom left. Can anyone confirm?
When they make their Porsche a reality I want to buy a case of them. I'll be getting customs made from them. Is the case dealer only and no dealer is selling a box?
Thanks for sharing now I won’t be buying from my local die cast story anymore. I’m sure they know this trick and I’ll never be able to experience finding a chase in the wild.
Just something to note. To be honest, it'd be good to just randomly place it somewhere so no one knows, and one person has an opportunity to get one at regular pricing.
I love Kaido House, and collecting the 510s and wagons, hoping one a lucky day i might get the Chase version. Until one day i went to a diecast shop and see allllll the Chase models lining up on display. I was shocked and asked the seller how he got so lucky (im new to this game), and he told me 100% chance you wont get the Chase version as all sellers know which box will be the Chase. Jun Imai should do something about it, although not his fault but it his products and you're going nowhere if fans started to hate this kind of unfairness in the brand. From a mere MYR 80, the scalped Chase version will costs you MYR 300-500. It's in Malaysia btw.
Absolutely love these cars but our local distributor is absolutely mapping cases to take the chases out. He takes chase and puts up on eBay same day he tells everyone the new case is in. Your video didn’t share where your 2 spots are or did I miss something? I am just curious where it is so I can bust him out.
Yep the dealers taking these out and scalping people is an issue I discussed in a previous video. I did NOT share the location because I did not want people to find out and start their own scalping barrage.
Defeats Jun Imai’s intention of making the chase cars’ individual packaging indistinguishable from the normal ones by placing it at a specific location within the box. I don’t really blame Jun Imai though. I think Mini GT is at fault here.
@@modelcarshouston my guess would be there are 2 separate packing stations: 1 for the normal cars and 1 for the chase. An empty box rolls in and is packed with 23 normal cars. It then goes to the next packing station which packs the chase car in the final slot in the box.
Why does your video say"chase location"? You didn't tell us where it was at. So dealers know you know, but the customer doesn't get to know? What was that
Dealers knowing is not a good thing because that's the entirety of the issue. Dealers are pulling them out and then scalping their own customers. Nobody should know where they're located because it turns into what we all know well with hot wheels collectors rummaging through boxes, etc. It's best no one knows, and I continue to randomly put them into orders done through my website.
This video we only know the seller is taking out the chase and sell on eBay.. but we still don’t know where is the chase location is.. revealed the chase is please ..
I don't. Other resellers do. The point of this video is to explain how resellers that scalp do it. You knowing where the chase is does not mean anything.
@modelcarshouston so only dealers know. and we cannot? was that the goal of the video? I'm confused with the title of your video and still keep it only for those that can by the case. maily dealers. IMO the video felt like we, dealers, know, but you regular customer won't know.
You're missing the point. The point was not the show everyone where it was to transfer the behavior of pulling it out and scalping people. I don't even do it at my own store. The purpose was to show that it is possible. You have nothing to gain from knowing this as my stance has always been to get chase cars as a surprise.
Thanks for nothing. There was no point in you making this video. Even worse, you wasted my time And everybody else’s time by watching this video. Biggest waste of 2 1/2 minutes ever and I will never get that back. We’re all happy You know where the chase pieces are. You named this video wrong. It should be called. Watch me open a MINI GT chase piece.🤔
The intent wasn't to energize more degenerate behavior because people knew where the chase car was. It's already a poison within the community with resellers pulling them out and scalping their own customers.
Apologize for the audio quality in advance for this video. For some reason I guess the mic was not connected! HAHA

Got a Nissan Skyline GT-R Active Carbon case. Can confirm the top-right is a chase
where can I buy a sealed box?

so many opportunities in the pipeline
Thanks for sharing now I won’t be buying from my local die cast story anymore. I’m sure they know this trick and I’ll never be able to experience finding a chase in the wild.
Thanks for publicising it, now for them to do something about it
The easiest thing, in my opinion, is to randomly insert it somewhere so no one knows.
Thanks for bringing attention to this. I hate paying to guarantee a chase because as far as i can tell it just isnt random.
Just something to note. To be honest, it'd be good to just randomly place it somewhere so no one knows, and one person has an opportunity to get one at regular pricing.
@@modelcarshouston I wouldn't mind at all if the chases were less common, like 1 in 100 instead of 1 per case. Less common and more randomly placed.
Im really a fan of chases, but this one’s amazing! I hope I get it!

You bet

I have to think it's a pretty simple packaging logistic to randomly place it somewhere instead of the same spot.

Your new nickname is "SHERLOCK HOLMES" !!..
MCI - Model Car Investigators lol
And we have tons of whatnot streamers doing case breaks and it’s usually the same people winning it.
Now THAT'S interesting....
They did it to get people to buy and distribute cases so they could get the brand out there
