IT'S like a dog who bites or a chimp that lashes out. .. ONE incident 99percent of the time is enough for authorities to destroy the animal or for it to be surrendered with a label of dangerous for the rest of it's life....It is wrong to keep wild animals and really literally impossible just because of accidents.... just ONEday where you want to pet or play with the animsl and you are just being too aggressive or too invasive due to things going on in your LIFE or maybe the animsl is sick AND it's impossible for it to tell you ...THE POINT is that the margin for error is small...PLUS MANY TIMES even on UTUBE they do things to the animal that is wrong that they hide.. EVERY pet monkey on utube has been castrated AND/OR had its teeth removed... MOST of the wild animals kept as pets like foxes and wolves are castrated...this is just plain wrong ..

He's also a wild animal and he'll never be anything but a wild animal. I'm a big cat lover and I enjoy watching animal-human interaction as much as anyone but we're not talking about a 10 pound house cat who purrs and does figure-8's between your legs. It's a 100 pound cougar that for reasons no human could understand, is capable of turning on anyone in that family and killing them in seconds, and I don't give a damn how warm and fuzzy he is right now. Do everyone a favor - including the cougar - and return that beautiful animal to the outdoors where he belongs.
@@cll1639 he was born with many health issues and is half the size of a healthy cougar. he has required daily medication since he was born, and will need it for the rest of his life. releasing him into the wild would be a confusing, lonely, brutal death sentence. this couple didnt adopt him for fun

Cute Messi, how he loves dad so much, normal house cats usually ignore you, but apparently cougars don't. So cute how he calls for him, and exposing his belly for dad to pet him there. And you can see how much Sasha loves him too. That smile, when he looked up at the balcony to see Messi peaking between the columns is unmistakable.
?? My cats get just as excited when we come home after a long day of being out of the house. Just because cats don’t show affection the same way dogs do doesn’t mean they don’t love their owners. Cats have always been solitary animals by default, and dogs have always been pack hunters. Both have drastically different ways of communicating to their own species and towards humans.
@@bnewtz7492 Yeah I know, I had house cats too, and they loved me as I loved them. I am not saying cats can't love, you misunderstood. I am saying, normally the solitary nature is exposed. I have seen friendly cats, but also snob cats, even when owned. So I mean it varies.

@@giovanna722 You right. As a matter of fact most Cougars won't be like that. They normally avoid humans but I wouldn't provoke one for sure. Nor would I dare to pet a Cougar in the wild and see what happens. I am aware Messi is unique. That is why if I ever come to visit them, I will be happy to pet Messi a little bit in the presence of one of them or both. I am not afraid of him I love him. And if I ever met an animal of this sort I would call it healthy awareness of exactly what animal it is.

Yup!! To cute!! Miss my little kitties! I had to put 2 out of 3 of them down this last winter, 1with cancer, 1 had failing health and wouldn’t eat much anymore got so skinny I couldn’t watch him waste away! And the 3rd died at home from old age. He had what I believe was a stroke. He missed the other 2 and died about 2 months later! 😢 miss all of them very much! I have never been a cat person, had dogs all my life. But after having them I became a car lover! My wife and I really miss them and will probably replace them in the future with a cat and Dog combo! That’s the best way to get them to bond.

the woman would have to walk faster with short steps gaps to produce that many tuds while wearing heels. its also due to having wooden floors and this cat have been domesticated no longer has to use stealth to eat.

Ya his videos prompted me to look into having one as a pet. You can in my state, but you need a permit. I think you’d have to get a female though. Messi is only about half the weight of a typical male. Maybe slightly more. But he’s an average size for a female cougar.
It sounds like there’s a lot of work and expense we don’t see in these vids though. Average vet bills are $7500 a year, and feeding them is also expensive and fairly difficult. For example they feed Messi chicken feet with every meal so he gets bone marrow. I have no idea how to get chicken feet, and am not sure I want to.
